IT Project Manager - Retail

Your mission will be to assume technical responsibility for new developments and provide support for existing systems, leading the team throughout project development and performing application maintenance. Your main responsibilities, among others, will include: * Actively participate in project development as either the responsible lead or a team member—depending on project size and characteristics—engaging in analysis, development, and implementation of solutions. * Coordinate the development team assigned to the project. * Propose various technical solutions. * Prepare technical documentation for projects. * Support user relations for project definition and implementation. * Ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of assigned tasks—either by executing them personally or by overseeing (and ensuring follow-up of) contributions from other internal or external personnel. * Drive progressive evolution toward other technical and functional environments. Maintain assigned applications, acting as a technical specialist for already-developed applications to resolve incidents or problems. We would love to meet you if you are passionate about retail, food, and people—and if you possess the following qualifications: * Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, commensurate with experience provided for the position. * Solid experience as a project manager, with at least 5 years in analysis, design, and development of J2EE applications with relational databases. * Advanced English proficiency (C1). French is a plus. * Experience in the Retail sector, preferably with supply chain systems. * Prior experience leading both internal and external teams. Technical Knowledge: * Experience in analysis, design, and development of management applications in J2EE environments (JBoss/Tomcat, Eclipse, Maven, frameworks). * Advanced knowledge of design, development, and optimization with relational databases (Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, etc.). * Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, project management practices, and tools (e.g., JIRA). * Desirable: Knowledge of DBT/HOP/WSO2, Liferay, and AS400. Experience (minimum 3 years): * Technical: design, development, testing, and implementation of applications. * Management: coordination of projects involving internal and external (partner) teams, use of Agile methodologies and related tools. * Functional: understanding of the company’s business processes; interaction with end users.
