We have a career opportunity for the role of **IT Analyst** at our Barcelona office, supporting customers in Spain and Italy. We are seeking a professional to provide technical support for computational engineering tools, with a primary focus on simulation environments—particularly using ANSYS. The candidate will work directly on problem diagnosis, user support, and guidance on best practices for utilizing computational resources, as well as contribute recommendations regarding hardware infrastructure to improve application performance. We seek a curious, analytical individual with strong problem investigation capabilities. The professional should be interested in understanding how high-performance applications utilize computational resources and how to enhance their efficiency. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Provide technical support to users of simulation and computational engineering tools. * Diagnose and resolve issues related to application execution in **Linux** environments. * Analyze logs, runtime errors, and technical application performance. * Support identification of CPU, RAM, and GPU bottlenecks. * Recommend appropriate hardware configurations for different workload types. * Support optimization of computational resource usage. * Document solutions and support best practices. * Provide technical support to internal users and executives. * Configure and prepare laptops and desktop computers. * Support onboarding/offboarding processes and setup for new employees. * Provide basic support for enterprise infrastructure (printers, access management, peripherals, and workstations). ### **Skills, Knowledge and Expertise** * Languages: Italian, C2 level\. * Languages: English, technical and professional level. * Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems (command line, troubleshooting, services). * Experience in technical support or IT infrastructure. * Experience configuring and supporting desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals. * Ability to analyze and diagnose application problems. * Basic/intermediate knowledge of hardware architecture (CPU, RAM, and GPU). * Excellent technical communication skills with users; organized and analytical profile with a customer support and problem-solving orientation. * Experience with simulation or engineering tools (e.g., ANSYS or similar). * Knowledge of High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. * Experience with parallelism, performance optimization, or scientific workloads. * Familiarity with computational clusters and distributed systems. * Knowledge of Cybersecurity. ### **Benefits** * Hybrid and flexible work arrangement. * Health insurance. * Permanent contract. * Annual gross salary between 35\.000 and 45\.000 €, plus an annual performance-based bonus. * Subject to the National Collective Agreement for the Consulting, Information Technology, and Market & Public Opinion Research sector — the State Collective Agreement. * Personalized development plan. * Work within a highly qualified team. ### **About ESSS** **Work with Us** ESSS offers you the opportunity to work on high\-impact engineering projects in a truly global environment where technology, innovation, and diversity fuel your professional growth. **We are ESSS** With over 300 professionals across Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Latin America, we are a high\-performing team supporting more than 1500 companies worldwide in industries such as oil and gas, aerospace, mining, automotive, and energy.
