GERIATRIC CAREGIVER – ELDERLY RESIDENCE

Job Summary: We are seeking a geriatric caregiver for the Teresa Duran Residence in Cornellà de Llobregat to provide support and supervision in daily activities, personal care, and medication administration. Key Responsibilities: 1. Support and supervision of daily activities for dependent individuals. 2. Providing care, repositioning, and administering medication. 3. Documentation and recording of observations regarding users' conditions. The Foundation for the Care of Dependent Persons seeks to incorporate an individual into its Caregiver team (day shift) at one of its assisted living services—the Teresa Duran Residence—located in Cornellà de Llobregat. Core duties of a geriatric caregiver position at a senior center include: supporting, assisting, and supervising residents’ basic daily life activities according to their level of autonomy; performing repositioning; delivering minor care and comfort measures as prescribed by the medical service; administering oral or topical medication; carrying out specific care procedures (under supervision of medical staff); completing required center documentation and records for each user’s interventions; and noting observations regarding users’ conditions. The *established work schedule* at the center consists of 12-hour shifts (08:15–20:15), including scheduled breaks during the shift. The schedule alternates between a long week (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday) and a short week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). *Additionally, other scheduling options may be considered during the interview process*, based on the candidate’s availability.
