Job Summary: We are seeking a Backend Developer to join a collaborative IT team at an innovative scale-up that automates processes using smart lockers, focusing on architecture evolution and code quality. Opportunity to contribute to frontend (React) Description Q\-tech is partnering with a scale\-up building a smart locker ecosystem to automate delivery, pickup, and exchange processes. Their platform integrates connected hardware, proprietary management software, and operational services, serving sectors including corporate offices, logistics and last-mile delivery, retail (click & collect), healthcare (temperature-controlled medication management), and smart cities. They are looking for a **Backend Developer** to join a 7-person IT team where everyone understands all parts of the codebase and works closely with Product and Customer teams. The core platform has grown organically and carries significant technical debt. The team is actively engaged in evolving the architecture, code quality, and infrastructure, with real room to propose and implement improvements. **Responsibilities** * Backend development and maintenance in PHP (Symfony/Laravel). * Application of best practices, SOLID principles, and TDD to new code and progressively to legacy code. * Daily use of Docker / Docker Compose. * Close collaboration with Product and Customer teams. * Participation in architecture decisions and analysis. * Opportunity to contribute to frontend (React) **What We Offer** * Permanent contract * Salary: €40,000 \- €45,000 gross/year * Work mode: 100% on-site in Sant Cugat for the first 6 months; thereafter, 3 days/week on-site.
