Holding three Michelin stars, it is far more than a restaurant: it is a team committed to innovation, meticulous detail, and the diner’s experience. **Job Description** We are seeking a Host/Hostess to join the Akelarre Restaurant team, responsible for representing the restaurant’s first impression and elevating the guest experience from the moment of arrival—ensuring a warm, elegant, and seamlessly coordinated welcome aligned with the dining room service. The primary objective of this position is to deliver an impeccable and personalized reception worthy of the restaurant’s three Michelin stars, ensuring every guest feels attended to with excellence, discretion, and professionalism—from reservation confirmation through to farewell. Additionally, the Host must precisely coordinate reservation management and table assignments, actively contributing to service efficiency and harmony between the dining room and kitchen. Key Responsibilities: * Greet and welcome guests with a courteous, elegant, and professional demeanor. * Manage reservations, confirmations, and waiting lists with precision and attention to detail. * Coordinate strategic table assignments in collaboration with the dining room team. * Escort guests to their tables and provide an appropriate introduction to the gastronomic experience. * Handle telephone calls and special requests efficiently and discreetly. * Anticipate special needs (allergies, celebrations, preferences) and communicate them to the relevant team members. * Monitor guest arrival and departure flow to ensure punctuality and order in service delivery. * Manage incidents or last-minute changes professionally and empathetically. * Maintain and update the current menu and/or other materials as needed. * Uphold an immaculate appearance consistent with the restaurant’s standards of protocol and etiquette. * Collaborate proactively with the dining room and kitchen to ensure a seamless and memorable experience. **Requirements** * Native-level fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages is a plus. * Prior experience in high-end gastronomic restaurants. * Excellent presence, communication skills, and customer orientation. * Strong organizational ability, exceptional attention to detail, and efficient performance under pressure. * Proactive attitude, discretion, and genuine service orientation. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Knowledge of Adobe InDesign is desirable. **Additional Information** * Join one of Spain’s most renowned gastronomic groups. * Continuous training and opportunities for professional development. * Meals provided during working hours. * A positive team environment that values collaboration and commitment.
