Description
The position is responsible for managing goods in a logistics environment using specialized machinery. Key responsibilities include loading and unloading products using double-pallet forklifts and electric pallet jacks, ensuring operations are carried out efficiently and safely. This role is essential for maintaining material flow within the warehouse, directly contributing to the supply chain. The job requires constant attention to established procedures to prevent accidents and cargo damage. Organizing storage space is also part of the responsibilities, optimizing product placement to facilitate subsequent location and transportation. Goods handling must comply with safety and hygiene regulations, safeguarding both equipment and materials handled. Adaptability to different types of cargo and variations in work pace is essential for success in this role. Coordination with other members of the logistics team is necessary to meet daily receiving and dispatch targets.
This position offers rotating shifts including mornings, afternoons, and nights, with a competitive salary commensurate with the role. Contracts are weekly-based, with the possibility of transitioning to the company's permanent staff following a period of satisfactory performance.
Candidates must be available to work on an ad-hoc basis or on alternate weeks, hold a valid forklift operator license, and demonstrate proven experience operating double-pallet forklifts. Prior experience in logistics is mandatory, along with practical knowledge of front-end forklift operation for proper execution of duties.
