Description
Summary
* Responsible for commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repairs of Vertiv UPSs, batteries, and connectivity systems.
* Required to establish, promote, and maintain excellent relationships with all customers, sales representatives, distributors, and other stakeholders within your area of responsibility.
* Maintain continuous communication with the dispatching team, as well as coordinators, supervisors, and the department manager.
* Responsible for assigned spare parts.
* Ensure compliance with all controls prescribed by ITC regulations regarding international trade of Vertiv products, services, systems, and technologies whose composition was fully or partially carried out in the United States.
* Follow and respect, in all interventions, the Environmental Guidelines established by Vertiv Spain, as well as those specific to the customer’s facilities where the intervention is performed.
Tasks \& Responsibilities
* Respond professionally to all assigned service calls while on standby.
* Read, understand, and comply with all established procedures.
* Perform all work safely and in accordance with the safety policy.
* Periodically ensure proper management of spare parts.
* Keep the dispatching team informed about your scheduled jobs and the status of all open jobs via the defined procedure.
* Maintain accuracy of customer information by reporting any errors detected.
* Submit the Service Request (SR) daily, promptly, accurately, and completely.
* Keep the vehicle clean and properly maintained.
* Report and promote any sales opportunities or improvements required at a site.
* Attend customer meetings when required.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers during emergencies and problem resolution.
* Ensure availability to work on weekends, nights, or outside regular hours, in accordance with local regulations and as required by service needs.
* Ensure availability for on-call duties, meaning being reachable for incoming calls that may require telephone support and/or on-site visits to address incidents, according to the response times agreed upon for each customer.
* Work closely with the coordinator to address operational matters daily.
* Comply with ITC regulations at the user level.
* Attend required technical training, both locally and at the factory.
* Attend required environmental training sessions offered locally.
* Know and comply with waste producer obligations set forth by current legislation regarding handling, transportation, and storage of waste until delivery to an authorized waste manager, as well as with procedures, instructions, and action plans established by Vertiv Spain.
Required Qualifications
* Vocational training (medium-level degree) in electricity and electronics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Proactivity, and ability to plan, organize, and manage time effectively.
* Valid driver's license.
* Availability to perform on-call duties, overtime, and travel as required by service needs.
Desirable: Some years of experience or internships in technical service or testing of UPS equipment
Key Performance Indicators
* Manage approximately 60 site visits per month.
