Description
**INTERIOR DESIGNER · RENOVATION TECHNICIAN**
*Barcelona — The Old Left Side of Eixample*
At Memar Interiors, the licensed franchisee of **middö** Reformas, we are seeking to hire a professional to accompany our clients from the final definition of their project through to the handover of the renovation.
We seek an interior design profile who is organized, solution-oriented, and highly client-focused, with hands-on experience in renovations and the ability to coordinate design, suppliers, construction work, and project monitoring. The position will be based at our showroom located in Eixample.
.
YOUR MISSION
You will take over the project once the commercial phase is closed. You will receive the information, preliminary design, and decisions made during the sales process, and you will be responsible for transforming them into a finalized, viable, and execution-ready project, accompanying the client until completion.
* Finalize the project with the client: layout, materials, finishes, and solutions.
* Review the project, identify potential incompatibilities, ambiguously defined aspects, or points requiring resolution before commencement.
* Develop the necessary graphical documentation using floor plans \+ 3D / render / AI.
* Lead the initial Kick\-Off meeting with the client, site manager, and industrial partners to review the project, resolve questions, and clearly define the starting point.
* Coordinate with the site manager and various trades throughout execution.
* Serve as the client’s primary contact throughout the entire process—accompanying, informing, and anticipating their needs.
* Organize and document all project decisions: materials, dimensions, finishes, installations, lighting, etc.
* Prepare and manage the required documentation for each project, ensuring contracts, budgets, modifications, purchase orders, and other documents are properly formalized and up to date.
* Manage suppliers, purchase orders, pricing, and delivery timelines.
* Prepare final budgets, extras, and modifications for proper approval and invoicing.
* Conduct follow-up visits and accompany the project through to final handover.
.
IN SHORT
We seek a profile combining interior design, project management, and a strong service orientation and commitment to client satisfaction: someone capable of transforming a well-sold project into an equally positive client experience throughout its development.
We are not simply looking for someone who draws plans nor someone who manages construction. We seek the person who takes over the project after it has been sold, develops and coordinates it, and becomes the client’s trusted point of contact until its completion.
.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Proven track record in interior design and renovations.
* Demonstrable experience and familiarity with on-site work.
* Proficiency in floor planning and 3D / render / AI visualization. We do not require a specific software: what matters is your ability to visually represent a project and your fluency with current tools.
* Commercial mindset and client orientation: strong communication skills, empathy, sound judgment, ability to build trust, and attention to the finest detail.
* Experience coordinating professionals, suppliers, and diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to work with budgets, materials, measurements, purchase orders, and documentation.
* Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills—capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while anticipating potential issues and needs before they affect the client or execution.
* Fluent use of digital tools and openness to new methodologies.
* Mobility with personal vehicle for travel across Barcelona and the metropolitan area (car, motorcycle, electric bicycle, or electric scooter).
* Autonomous, proactive individual with initiative and decision-making capability—able to advance independently while collaborating effectively with the rest of the team.
.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Possession of a tablet, laser measuring tool, and other on-site work equipment.
* Established network of contacts among tradespeople, suppliers, or collaborators.
* Specific experience in kitchen and bathroom renovations.
* Curiosity and knowledge of emerging digital tools applied to interior design and renovations.
* Languages: proficiency in conversational Catalan and English will be especially valued.
* Initiative to contribute new ideas, suppliers, and ways to improve our processes.
