Loyola University encourages applications from candidates meeting the following generic professional profile: * Minimum required qualification: + Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Communication-related fields: Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, or similar. + English proficiency at minimum B2 level, demonstrable (certificates must be attached to the CV). + Hold a Doctorate degree in a Communication program, with a thesis closely related to advertising communication, journalism, audiovisual and digital communication, digital marketing, or new communication technologies. * Research experience. * High capacity for integration and commitment to the institution’s mission, proactive attitude, dedication, teamwork spirit, and service vocation. * Accreditation by ANECA or an equivalent agency as Assistant Doctor Professor or higher. **Loyola University** will especially value candidates whose CV demonstrates: * Official university-level teaching experience in communication disciplines. Positive evaluations from official university teaching assessment surveys will be highly regarded. * Demonstrable expertise in design software, content management systems, research tools, and AI applications. * High-impact scientific production and research, particularly within the candidate’s area of specialization. Priority will be given to publications in journals indexed in JCR and Scopus. Originality, relevance, and innovation in research impact will be welcomed. * Secondarily, books or book chapters published by prestigious publishers (well-ranked in the SPI index), presentations at international conferences, specialized seminars in relevant fields, etc., will also be considered. * Research fellowships or visiting researcher positions at internationally renowned universities. * Participation in competitive research projects (international, national, and/or regional). * Experience combining teaching and research responsibilities with academic management roles will also be valued. **Job Responsibilities**: * Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of Advertising, Journalism, and Audiovisual and Digital Communication. * Enhance the department’s scientific output by developing and expanding communication studies, and positioning the department among top rankings through competitive projects and high-impact, transformative publications. * Fully integrate into one of the university’s research groups, pursuing an active research career with scientific output published in journals indexed in JCR, and contributing to research projects, etc. * Actively participate in departmental and university life (teaching, research, outreach and knowledge transfer, academic management, etc.).
