As a **Kitchen Assistant** at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, within the culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, supporting basic kitchen tasks, maintaining cleanliness in your work area, and complying with food hygiene and safety standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Ensure all \*mise en place\* is prepared to the highest quality and in accordance with standards set by supervisors. * Prepare and replenish \*buffets\*. * Support supervisors in collecting and organizing materials in the relevant storage area. * Notify supervisors when stock levels are low and ensure sufficient product is always available for daily operations. * Store ingredients in appropriate containers, ensuring correct preservation and labeling in line with company standards. * Clean and disinfect surfaces, utensils, and work areas before and after use, in compliance with food safety standards. * Report any cleaning or maintenance issues in the kitchen, supporting daily inspections conducted by supervisors. * Support other outlets and banquets as required by supervisors. * Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions. * Perform any other tasks assigned by your superiors. * Always comply with food safety and health standards established by Mandarin Oriental Hotel. **What We Expect From You:** * Minimum 2 years’ experience as a kitchen assistant. * Culinary arts training preferred. * Basic experience in food preparation and cooking. * Flexibility to adapt to variable working hours based on business needs. **Our Commitment to You:** * Training and Development: Your success is our success.
