I love that you ask this question (I asked it myself too):** We’re looking for a Data Scientist/Engineer to join our AI team and use data to accelerate innovation and deliver value across various business areas. Your goal will be to leverage available data to solve complex business problems throughout the organization. You’ll provide analytical insights and develop AI solutions to support business decision-making. Zurich’s Advanced Analytics team consists of Data Scientists who use data to accelerate innovation and deliver value across different business areas. **Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and deploy **end\-to\-end Machine Learning models** in production (e.g., customer segmentation, cross\-sell, up\-sell, churn, sales forecasting, pricing, fraud detection) * Develop **document intelligence solutions and LLM-based agents** to automate business processes (e.g., quotation generation) * Build and maintain **data pipelines and model monitoring frameworks** on AWS SageMaker * Implement **NLP algorithms** for text classification, information extraction, and customer profile enrichment * Collaborate closely with business teams (marketing, sales, risk) to translate needs into **data-driven solutions** * Present results and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences * Actively participate in **innovation and digital transformation initiatives** within the company * Contribute to defining **team standards and best practices**, and mentor junior profiles **By now, you’re probably wondering: How do I know if I’m a good fit?** Don’t worry—I won’t ask you to save the planet or meet 100% of the requirements. **Minimum Requirements** * **5\+ years** of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning roles * Fluent Spanish and English * Advanced proficiency in **Python** (pandas, scikit\-learn, XGBoost, etc.) * Proficiency in **Git** for version control, branch management, and team collaboration (**GitHub / GitLab**) * Experience deploying models in cloud environments (ideally AWS) * Knowledge of **SQL** and handling large-scale data (PySpark) * Experience taking models from prototype to **production** * Ability to communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field) **Nice to Have** * Experience with **LLMs and agent architectures** (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar) * Knowledge of advanced NLP libraries: **SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers** * Experience in the **insurance or financial services sector** * Familiarity with **MLOps practices** (MLflow, CI/CD, model monitoring) * Experience in use cases such as **fraud detection or pricing** Right now, you’re either feeling the excitement of finding the perfect pair of pants—or thinking, “This isn’t for me.” (If it’s not for you, that’s perfectly fine—we’ll surely meet again in the future.)
