MANAGEMENT CONTROLLER – RESTAURANT GROUP

A restaurant group is seeking to hire a **Management Controller** to strengthen its Controlling department. The selected candidate will report directly to the **Group Controller** and progressively assume responsibility for **economic control and performance monitoring of multiple establishments**, working directly with their managers and operational leads. We seek a professional with **maturity, analytical ability, initiative, and results orientation**, who does not merely prepare reports but can understand the root causes of variances, collaborate with teams to identify solutions, and follow up on implemented measures. **JOB MISSION** To be responsible for the economic monitoring of assigned locations, ensuring data reliability, identifying variances, and collaborating with operational leads to improve efficiency and profitability. This role combines **financial analysis with operational presence**: it requires working with data, as well as meeting with managers, front-of-house and kitchen leads to understand what is happening and contribute to finding solutions. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Control and monitoring of key **economic and operational KPIs** for assigned establishments. * Monitoring of **personnel costs**, productivity, and deviations from targets. * Control of **raw material costs (Food & Beverage Cost)**. * Analysis of procurement, consumption, inventory, shrinkage, and variances. * Monitoring of revenue, margins, and profitability per establishment. * Analysis of variances versus budget, targets, and prior periods. * Preparation and conduct of **regular meetings with managers and operational leads** of assigned locations. * Identification of variance root causes and collaboration with leads to define **concrete action plans**. * Follow-up on agreed measures and evaluation of their outcomes. * Preparation of monitoring reports for the Group Controller. * Participation in budgeting, monthly closings, and other financial analyses. * Collaboration with Administration, Operations, Human Resources, and Procurement. * Contribution to improving and automating information and control systems. **CANDIDATE PROFILE** We seek a candidate with sufficient experience to work autonomously and exercise sound judgment, yet who wishes to continue growing professionally within a corporate group. We especially value: * Degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field. * Approx. **3–5 years’ experience** in controlling, management control, auditing, or financial analysis. * Experience in budget monitoring, variance analysis, and KPI tracking. * Advanced Excel proficiency. * Solid knowledge of financial and management accounting. * Ability to interpret data from a **business perspective**, not solely from an accounting standpoint. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills when engaging with non-financial leads. * Experience in hospitality, restaurants, retail, or multi-location companies — particularly valued. * Familiarity with Power BI, ERP systems, and analytical tools — advantageous. **PERSONAL COMPETENCIES** This aspect is especially important to us.
