As part of our positioning as a leading company in the defense sector, we aim to strengthen our team with a Power Electronics Engineer specialized in energy systems for UAVs, who will join a strategic R\+D project focused on developing unmanned aerial platforms incorporating state-of-the-art energy generation and storage technologies. What will you do? * Design and develop power converters (DC/DC and AC/DC) for onboard UAV systems. * Integrate, select, and validate energy storage technologies (Li\-ion, LiPo, and emerging types). * Develop battery management systems (BMS): protection, balancing, and monitoring. * ️ Perform thermal analysis and optimize energy efficiency, weight, and reliability. * Conduct functional tests and validations in the lab, and support field trials. * Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems teams to ensure integration. * Design schematics and PCB layouts using professional tools. * Use simulation tools (LTspice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink) to validate solutions. What are we looking for in you? Don’t worry if you don’t meet 100% of the criteria—we’d love to get to know you! * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic, Industrial, Energy Engineering, or a related field. * 2\-3 years of experience in power electronics. * Knowledge of battery systems and energy storage. * Experience with simulation tools (LTspice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink). * Experience in PCB design (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, or similar). * ✈️ Valuable experience in UAVs, aerospace, or embedded systems. * Familiarity with electrical regulations or aerospace standards (valued). * ️ Experience in environmental testing (vibration, temperature, EMC) (valued). * Interest in hybrid energy generation systems. * Availability for a hybrid work model in Madrid.
