HVAC Technician - Permanent Position

A job position is offered in the HVAC sector, with a permanent contract and full-time schedule. The main responsibility involves comprehensive maintenance of air conditioning and heating systems. This includes performing scheduled preventive tasks, such as inspection, cleaning, and adjustment of equipment—including split units, ducts, rooftop units, and VRF or VRV systems—following a detailed plan to extend equipment lifespan and prevent failures. When issues arise, corrective maintenance is carried out: diagnosing faults to identify root causes and repairing them or replacing components such as compressors or electronic control boards, aiming to minimize equipment downtime. Additionally, commissioning and fine-tuning of newly installed or repaired equipment is performed, verifying compliance with technical specifications. Safe handling of refrigerant gases is also required; thus, a valid F-Gas certification is mandatory. Another key responsibility is completing work reports and intervention records for each service call, ensuring accurate documentation of all activities performed. Finally, the technician serves as the primary point of contact with customers at the site, clearly explaining completed work and applied solutions. Strict compliance with the Regulation on Thermal Installations in Buildings (RITE) and all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations is essential. Candidates must hold a Medium or Higher Vocational Training qualification in Installation and Maintenance of HVAC Systems. A valid RITE certificate and certification for handling refrigeration equipment and any quantity of fluorinated refrigerants are mandatory. Demonstrable experience of at least 2–3 years as an HVAC maintenance technician is required, preferably within the tertiary or commercial sector. Expert proficiency with specialized tools—including digital manometers, vacuum gauges, and clamp meters—is necessary. Knowledge of aerothermal systems is considered an asset. A valid EU Class B driving license and proven experience driving light commercial vans or service vehicles are required. Availability for travel and overnight stays across the Iberian Peninsula is also required.
