Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior WordPress Developer to design, develop, and optimize WordPress projects, implementing advanced functionalities and technical architectures. Key Highlights: 1. Performance optimization and technical architecture ### **Location** Madrid, hybrid ### **Number of Open Positions:** 1 **Responsibilities:** -------------- At Grupo Hasten, we are recruiting a Senior WordPress Developer (PHP) to join a project with one of our key partners, in a hybrid mode based in Madrid (3 days in the office and 2 days remote). Main responsibilities include: – Designing and developing WordPress projects from scratch (custom themes and plugins) – Defining the technical architecture of projects – Implementing advanced functionalities using PHP and the WordPress core – Modeling content using Custom Post Types, taxonomies, and custom fields – Developing decoupled and maintainable plugins – Creating and consuming endpoints via REST API – Optimizing performance (queries, caching, loading) **Requirements:** --------------- Requirements: – 5+ years of experience in WordPress development – Experience building custom themes from scratch – Experience developing custom plugins – In-depth knowledge of the WordPress core: Hooks (actions and filters) The Loop WP_Query Template hierarchy – Solid PHP 8+ expertise: Object-oriented programming Namespaces – Experience with Custom Post Types, taxonomies, and ACF **What We Offer:** -------------- Why choose us?
