Job Summary: You will be responsible for managing and evolving the PostgreSQL and SQL Server database infrastructure, ensuring optimal service delivery and leading strategic technological transformation projects. Do you want to lead strategic projects and participate in the technological transformation of a global company? **ADD YOUR ENERGY TO THE FUTURE!** **What will you do?** You will be responsible for the database solutions infrastructure — **PostgreSQL and SQL Server** — in both **legacy data center environments** and **cloud (DBaaS) environments**, using Iberdrola-approved providers. Your mission will be to ensure an optimal service that supports the applications and technological solutions required for the company’s operations. Your objective will be to **maximize platform performance, functionality, security, and efficiency**, ensuring its evolution and contributing to the achievement of business goals. Additionally, you will lead **database evolution and lifecycle projects** for PostgreSQL and SQL Server, coordinating their execution efficiently and aligning them with budget, scope, delivery, quality objectives, as well as the organization’s future needs. Your main responsibilities will include: * Administering and optimizing PostgreSQL and SQL Server infrastructures in on-premises and cloud environments. * Leading technology upgrade, migration, and evolution projects. * Managing High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures. * Ensuring platform database security and compliance with corporate standards. * Coordinating license and related product management. * Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and technology vendors. * Ensuring monitoring, operations, and service continuity. * Participating in defining technological evolution strategies. **What are we looking for?** * Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical fields. * Solid knowledge of databases in general, and **PostgreSQL and SQL Server** in particular. * Experience with tools such as: **PgAdmin, DBeaver, Patroni, PgBouncer/PgPool**, extensions **GIS, TimeScaleDB, ora2pg**, hardening, and hybrid multicloud environments. * Experience with **SQL Server**: Management Studio, Azure Data Studio, SSIS, AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Azure SQL, Managed Instance. * Knowledge of cloud platforms: **AWS** and **Azure**. * Experience with administration, monitoring, and centralized management tools. * Experience in PostgreSQL and SQL Server migrations — on-premises-to-cloud and cloud-to-cloud. * Knowledge of database platform security. * Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures. * License management for related products. * Project management and execution orientation. * Fluent English (C1 level recommended). * Experience with office productivity tools (MS Office) and project management tools. * Experience working with international teams. **What do we offer?** * Join an internationally present company with over 40,000 employees. * Grow within a world-leading company in renewable energy, committed to combating climate change. * Competitive salary, social benefits, and work-life balance measures. * Year-round continuous working hours, with flexible start and end times. * Work in a dynamic, highly qualified team delivering innovative projects. * Onboarding program and training period to gain a global understanding of the company. * Access to continuous training programs via the Iberdrola Campus. *At Iberdrola, diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential pillars of our daily operations.
