Job Summary: We are seeking a Waiter/Waitress Assistant to join our team in Alcudia, with responsibilities including breakfast service, buffet setup and breakdown, customer service, and support to the head waiter. Currently, the company manages a portfolio of 50 accommodations, most of which are located in Spain’s main tourist destinations. We are currently experiencing rapid growth and expansion! That is why we are looking for a WAITER/WAITRESS ASSISTANT to join the ONA team in Alcudia! What would your responsibilities be? · Serving breakfast. · Setting up and breaking down the buffet, as well as supporting maintenance and restocking. · Customer service. · Table service during meal hours. · Cleaning and preparing the restaurant and service area (office). · Supporting the head waiter with restaurant-related tasks. · Taking customer orders. · Verifying that customers meet the legally required minimum age for consuming alcoholic beverages. · Ensuring customers enjoy their meals and taking corrective action for any issues or incidents. · Answering questions about menu items and making recommendations upon request. · Explaining, upon customer request, how menu dishes are prepared, including ingredients used. · Recommending beverages to customers. · Informing customers about daily specials. · Clearing tables after customers have finished dining. · Preparing hot and cold beverages. · Setting up and/or breaking down the dining room and/or other areas. · Following waste recycling procedures. What do we require from you? \- Minimum qualification: Intermediate vocational training in Hospitality and Tourism or ESO (experience valued). \- Minimum 1 year of experience. \- Cash handling knowledge. \- Flexibility to adapt your schedule to the establishment’s varying needs during high and low occupancy periods (trade fairs, conferences, Holy Week, long weekends, etc.), as well as to customer requirements (we will notify you as early as possible). \- Shift work and rotating days off. \- For regular guests, at least intermediate English proficiency is required (you must be able to converse with customers and provide service using standard restaurant terminology).
