At present, as a recruitment consultancy, we are searching for our client for an **Operations Director** to join an industrial plastics company located south of Murcia. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the plant’s production and logistics operations, ensuring achievement of production, quality, cost, and timeline objectives. Additionally, they will drive continuous process improvement and act as an internal coordination figure for human resources and occupational risk prevention, collaborating with external advisory firms and service providers. **FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** * Planning and supervision of production to ensure on-time order fulfillment and adherence to established quality standards. * Management, analysis, and optimization of production processes. * Coordination of production, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams. * Monitoring and control of key operational indicators: productivity, costs, waste, efficiency, and OEE. * Preparation of reports and periodic performance reporting to senior management. * Implementation and development of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or other similar tools. * Oversight of compliance with occupational health and safety and environmental regulations. * Budgetary management of the operations area and cost control. * Coordination with commercial, procurement, and quality departments to ensure proper operational alignment. * Liaison with external labor advisory services regarding plant personnel management: hires, terminations, working hour tracking, incidents, and shift scheduling. * Coordination with the External Prevention Service for risk assessment follow-up, preventive planning, training, and health surveillance. * Oversight of compliance with labor laws and occupational safety and health regulations. * Preparation and coordination of requirements necessary for internal and external audits. **REQUIREMENTS** * Degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Organization Engineering, or related fields. * 5–10 years of experience in leadership roles within production or operations departments. * Experience in the plastics industry or related industrial sectors is especially valued. * Knowledge of plastic transformation processes. * Experience managing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. * Familiarity with quality management systems; experience with ISO 9001 is desirable. * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement tools. * Basic knowledge of labor legislation and occupational risk prevention; specific PRL training is valued. * Experience coordinating with labor advisory firms and/or external prevention services. * English proficiency is advantageous. * Leadership, organizational ability, and orientation toward operational efficiency. * Strategic vision, analytical capability, and decision-making skills. * Communication skills, change management capability, and team coordination ability. * Sensitivity and responsibility in people management and fostering a safety culture. **What does the company offer?** * Joining an established industrial company with a stable project and professional growth trajectory. * A strategic position with direct responsibility for the plant’s core operational areas. * Management of multidisciplinary teams and active participation in defining and improving business processes. * A dynamic work environment with direct contact with senior management and influence over the company’s evolution. * On-site position in the Region of Murcia. * Salary between **€40,000 and €45,000 gross per annum**, plus variable compensation based on experience and fit for the role. * Opportunity to drive initiatives in efficiency, continuous improvement, safety, and organizational development.
