We are seeking a Food Quality Manager:
Responsibilities:
\- Lead the quality department.
\- Maintain the quality management system in accordance with legal requirements and certifications (IFS, ELS, MSC, SAE, etc.).
\- Responsible for IFS, IWAY, Food Defense, Food Fraud, MSC, and SAE.
\- Responsible for pest control within the company.
\- Head of the HACCP team.
\- Member of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee (PRL).
\- Keep the quality and food safety management documentation system up to date: HACCP, procedures, work instructions, product technical sheets, quality and environmental policy.
\- Conduct all audits (internal, IFS, ELS, customers, IKEA-IWAY, SAE, etc.) on implemented protocols or customer requirements.
\- Liaise with auditing and certification bodies, accompany auditors during audits, manage corrective actions, and submit evidence of their implementation to the auditing body for closure.
\- Establish and implement controls ensuring the production of safe and high-quality products.
\- Review and update labels/bags/bands to ensure correct product labeling in compliance with applicable legislation.
\- Review, update, and create new label templates for the company's labeling scales {Godex, Bizerba}.
\- Develop the annual analytical plan, prepare weekly samples, monitor test results and laboratory invoices.
\- Handle and manage customer complaints, returns, and/or inquiries.
\- Manage incidents and non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
\- Promote continuous improvement awareness and engage all staff in producing safe and high-quality food.
\- Collaborate closely with:
\- The procurement department to define quality and food safety requirements for suppliers, raw materials, and auxiliary materials.
\- The human resources department to develop and review the annual training plan.
\- Other departments across the company to successfully implement the quality and food safety management system.
\- Deliver internal training to new operators on good handling practices, gluten-free food handling, and all matters related to Quality and Food Safety.
\- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations (PRL) and annual plans, supported by the outsourced Occupational Health and Safety Service (S.P.A.).
\- Monitor annual compliance of the outsourced pest control service and report detected incidents and improvement opportunities to prevent pest infestations.
\- As the responsible person for the Specific Self-Control System (SAE), ensure compliance with the procedure and official veterinary certification requirements for export, including origin/tracing and animal health; supervise plant processes, supervision systems, self-control systems, and all related programs, as well as national, European Union, and third-country export requirements.
\- Make appropriate decisions to prevent the export of animal-origin products—or products containing animal-origin ingredients—intended for human consumption that fail to meet the destination country’s requirements.
\- Assume responsibility for purchasing, safeguarding, and applying seals affixed to containers for exporting consignments; alternatively, appoint one or more individuals to manage this activity under their supervision.
Requirements:
\- Education in quality/food safety.
\- Knowledge and experience in implementing and conducting audits for:
\- HACCP.
\- IFS.
\- SAE certification.
\- Communication with health authorities.
Offer:
\- Permanent full-time contract.
\- Working days: Monday to Friday.
\- Working hours: 08:00 to 16:30, with a 30-minute lunch break.
Work location: Móstoles.
