




Position Summary: We are seeking a Caregiver for a Residential Facility to maintain and support users’ personal/occupational autonomy, foster skills, and participate in supportive measures. Key Responsibilities: 1. Promote users’ personal and occupational autonomy. 2. Promote manipulative and daily living skills. 3. Participate in monitoring supportive measures. AFANIAS Family Association was founded in 1964 and works daily to become a leading organization in intellectual disability, with social presence and influence, facilitating autonomy and quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities and their families, while responding to their life-cycle needs. In this context, we are opening the position of Caregiver at the Residential Facility located in TORRELAGUNA (Madrid), at 75% full-time equivalent, covering weekends and public holidays (temporary contract). The mission of this position is to maintain and support users’ personal/occupational autonomy, sustain manipulative and daily living skills, and directly participate in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of planned supportive and rehabilitative measures for users. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Anticipate, identify, and respond to users’ needs. * Ensure compliance with self-care protocols (manipulative and daily living skills). * Foster users’ habits of order, cleanliness, and hygiene. * Teach users how to handle various workshop materials and tools. * Actively participate in conflict resolution; provide direct user support and assistance. * Ensure users’ safety (prevent injury). * Promote and facilitate social interaction among users and with others. * Monitor users’ adherence to daily activity schedules. * Supervise goal achievement. REQUIRED PROFILE: * Qualifications: Nursing Assistant or Professional Certification in Socio-Healthcare Support. * Food Handler Certificate (desirable). * Valid driver’s license. * First Aid Training Course (desirable). * Minimum one year of experience in similar roles. * Customer-oriented, service-minded individual with strong teamwork and organizational skills. * Positive and constructive attitude. * High capacity for proactive and autonomous work. * Social sensitivity and commitment to social causes, particularly intellectual disability. * Legal work authorization in Spain. AVAILABILITY TO WORK: 75% full-time equivalent, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, 12 hours per day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Temporary contract.
