Northgate continues to grow! We need to expand the team at our Coslada workshop.
Northgate is the ideal partner for companies and professionals who use vehicles as work tools. With over 40 owned workshops dedicated to repair and maintenance, we specialize in bodywork, mechanical repairs, and all types of services—backed by over 40 years of experience repairing our rental fleet.
We are currently seeking to hire a Second-Tier Mechanic at our Coslada branch. The responsibilities associated with this position include:
Operating and managing diagnostic equipment, ECU coding, fault code clearing, and breakdown diagnosis
Managing vehicle windshield replacement
Inspecting and replacing brake master cylinders and power brake boosters, timing belts, clutches, engine ancillary components, and cylinder head gaskets
Replacing engines and starter solenoids
Diagnosing, inspecting, and replacing EGR valves, FAP systems, SCR systems, DPF filters, and catalytic converters
Regenerating vehicle particulate filters (FAP)
Coding tire valves using TMPX tools and procedures
Managing air conditioning refrigerant recharges
Performing headlight alignment
Managing wheel balancing to ensure vehicle comfort and safety
Managing vehicle registration
Inspecting and replacing brake pads and discs, brake shoes and drums, brake fluid, alternator belts, spark plugs and glow plugs, power steering belts, bulbs, wheel bearings, ball joints, suspension arms, shock absorbers, and transmissions
Performing oil and filter replacements and repairs, tire replacements and puncture repairs, spark plug and glow plug replacements, differential oil changes, power steering fluid changes, antifreeze fluid changes, component replacements (e.g., pipes or valves), rearview mirror replacements, light assemblies (tail lights and headlights), bumper replacements, fenders, and interior door components
Assisting and supporting the rest of the workshop team in other tasks and activities
Moving vehicles to assembly areas and within or outside the branch premises
Requirements
Required: Higher Vocational Training Certificate (CFGS) or Medium-Level Vocational Training Certificate (CFGM) in Automotive Engineering, plus 3–4 years of relevant experience.
Valid driver’s license, not suspended or revoked.
Offer
Indefinite-term contract.
Working hours: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday. During summer (from the last week of June to the first week of September), intensive morning shift from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
