Job Summary: Wastewater treatment plant operator responsible for the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant, contributing to sanitation and environmental protection. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant. 2. Collaboration in public sanitation and environmental protection services. 3. Continuous training and teamwork under technical supervision. The candidate joins a team responsible for operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant, performing general operational and maintenance tasks. Duties include actuating valves, pumps, and motors; monitoring water levels at various stages of the treatment process; and taking periodic equipment readings for tracking purposes. The role also involves assisting in troubleshooting and repairs, including opening and closing trenches when necessary, and providing logistical support to sewer trucks performing services related to the facility. Work is carried out with electromechanical equipment and control systems, requiring attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures. The work environment is an industrial plant; therefore, compliance with safety and hygiene regulations and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory. This role contributes to the public sanitation service and environmental protection, playing a key part in the integrated water cycle. The selected candidate will work under technical supervision, coordinating with the operations team and maintaining clear communication to report incidents or abnormal situations. Continuous training on the plant’s specific processes is provided as part of professional development in this role. A Medium-Level Vocational Training qualification or equivalent is required. At least one year of experience in a similar position is essential, preferably in the water sector or industrial facilities. Knowledge of electricity and mechanics is fundamental for performing assigned tasks. Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes is considered a plus. A valid Class B driving license is mandatory. Teamwork skills, proactivity, and responsibility in carrying out assigned tasks are highly valued.
