Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate school dining hall monitor dedicated to education to supervise and animate mealtime, ensuring a safe and educational environment for children. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising and animating mealtime, ensuring that children enjoy a safe, respectful, and educational environment. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals passionate about education and skilled in working with children. Main Responsibilities: Supervise children during mealtime, promoting respectful behavior and healthy habits. Ensure children's safety at all times, responding promptly and effectively to any incident. Encourage respect for rules and positive coexistence among children. Promote playful and educational activities before and after meals. Collaborate with kitchen staff and the educational team to ensure optimal service operation. Assist children who require support during meals (e.g., cutting food, encouraging them to eat, etc.). Maintain cleanliness and order in the dining hall after meals. * Experience: 6 months. Prior experience as a monitor or in similar roles involving children. Food Handler Certificate. School Dining Hall Monitor Certificate. Leisure Monitor Certificate (preferably). Leadership, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills. Certificate of No Sexual Offense Record (mandatory requirement). * HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA * Competencies / Knowledge: Transversal Competencies: Empathy and social skills: Ability to understand and connect with children and their emotions. Time management: Organize activities and adhere to established schedules. Conflict resolution: Handle disagreements among children or challenging situations calmly and effectively. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with other monitors, teachers, or center staff. Creativity: Propose original, engaging, and age-appropriate playful and dynamic activities. Adaptability: Respond appropriately to changes or unforeseen situations. Technical Knowledge: Basic first aid: Knowledge of essential techniques for emergencies. Emotional education: Apply strategies to help children manage their emotions. Languages: Proficiency in other languages (e.g., English or French), especially if the center serves students of diverse nationalities. Activity animation techniques: Experience in educational or recreational games and activities. Healthy nutrition: Basic knowledge of healthy eating habits and management of food allergies or intolerances. * Permanent employment contract * Part-time schedule (2 hours – fixed and periodic discontinuous nature)
