Job Summary: We are seeking a nurse for a residential and day center serving individuals with intellectual disability and/or autism, responsible for assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and basic nursing care. Coordinating with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams We require a nurse to work in a residential center and day center for individuals with intellectual disability and/or autism. Health Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct periodic health assessments of residents. Monitor vital signs and changes in health status. Medication Administration: Administer medications according to medical prescriptions. Supervise treatment adherence and adjust dosages if necessary under medical supervision. Basic Nursing Care: Provide basic care such as wound care, dressing changes, and assistance with personal hygiene. Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid. Development of Care Plans: Develop and update individualized care plans for each resident. Collaborate with other professionals to design therapeutic interventions. Education and Support for Residents and Families: Provide education on health conditions, medications, and self-care to residents and their families. Offer emotional support and counseling to families and caregivers. Coordination with Healthcare Professionals: Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Facilitate communication between the healthcare team and residents. Maintenance of Health Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for residents. Document all interventions and changes in health status. Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Implement health promotion and disease prevention programs. Encourage healthy lifestyle habits among residents. Supervision of Medical Procedures: Supervise and assist with medical procedures conducted at the center. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Participation in Multidisciplinary Meetings: Participate in meetings with the multidisciplinary team to discuss residents’ progress and needs. Contribute to planning and reviewing care programs. Staff Training: Provide ongoing training to staff on health-related topics and emergency procedures. Develop and conduct training workshops as needed. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative management of the center, particularly regarding residents’ health and well-being. Help prepare reports and manage medical resources. * Minimum 1 year of experience. Experience level will be considered; preference given to candidates with prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disability and/or autism. * Competencies / Knowledge: Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and members of the multidisciplinary team. Willingness to share knowledge and experiences with colleagues to improve quality of care. Effective Communication: Skills to communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, families, and other professionals. Ability to adapt communication based on residents’ needs and capabilities. Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently. Capacity to make informed decisions in emergency situations. * Temporary employment contract (1 month) * Full-time position * Gross monthly salary: 2500 * Additional relevant information: 2550 € gross x 14 payments
