Identify guests’ reservation needs and determine the appropriate room type. Verify availability of the requested room type and rate. Explain guarantee policies, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers. Attend to and document special requests. Respond to questions regarding hotel facilities and services, as well as room accommodations. Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue. Enter and access data in the reservation system. Indicate types of special room reservations (e.g., complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agency inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by correctly entering the code and rate into the reservation system. Follow escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns. Comply with company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; protect guest and colleague privacy and security. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate their service needs and fulfill them; thank them with genuine appreciation; assist guests with disabilities. Communicate with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; listen and respond appropriately to concerns raised by other employees.
