Job Summary: We are seeking a Freelance Big Data Specialist Instructor to lead a comprehensive course, training students in data processing and management. Key Highlights: 1. At **Ironhack**, in collaboration with official training programs, we are looking for a **Freelance Big Data Specialist Instructor** to lead the course: **Big Data Specialist (IFCD105)**. The objective is to train students in performing tasks related to processing and managing massive data volumes using specific software and distributed architectures. We seek an expert profile on a **Freelance** basis for a comprehensive training package that includes delivering sessions as well as developing and reviewing content. **Schedule and Calendar Details** The course has a total duration of **210 hours**, structured as follows: * **In-Person Sessions (62h):** At Diego Lopez Haroko Kale Nagusia, 1, Bilbao. * **Synchronous Virtual Classroom (168h):** Live remote sessions. * **Schedule:** 18:00–21:30 (3.5 hours per session). * **Start Date:** April 13, 2026. * **End Date:** July 30, 2026. * *Candidates residing in Bilbao or nearby areas will be prioritized (travel/accommodation expenses are the instructor’s responsibility). * **Instructor Requirements** To comply with official regulations: * **Academic Qualifications (at least one):** + Bachelor’s degree, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent undergraduate degree. + Diploma, Technical Engineering, Technical Architecture, or equivalent undergraduate degree. * **Professional Experience (at least one):** + Minimum **1 year** of teaching experience in the technologies and tools covered in the course. + Minimum **2 years** of direct professional experience in the Big Data field. * **Teaching Competence:** + Certification of at least **300 hours** of teaching experience in Information Technology and Communications. + Or possession of the Vocational Training (FPE) Teaching Professional Certificate or an equivalent official accreditation. ### **Modules and Content to Be Delivered** The program covers the full data lifecycle in Big Data environments: * **Infrastructure and Security:** Networks, virtualization, cryptography, and monitoring (Grafana/Prometheus). * **Distributed Databases:** HDFS, Kafka, Zookeeper, MongoDB, and Neo4j. * **Processing:** Spark framework using the **Scala** programming language. * **Visualization:** Dashboard design using Power BI. * **Final Project:** Comprehensive practical case study on **Microsoft Azure**.
