Delivery Hero has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and is part of the MDAX stock market index. ### **Job Description** * **Service Orchestration:** Design, build, and maintain the service layer that serves as the entry point for our native iOS and Android Tracking SDKs. * **API Contract Design:** Partner with mobile engineers to define robust and efficient API contracts (REST) that minimize payload size and latency. * **System Scalability**: Ensure the reliability of systems processing billions of events, focusing on high throughput and low\-latency response times. * **Cross\-Stack Collaboration:** Work closely with the core Tracking teams to ensure data flows correctly from the UI components through your services and into the global data lake and inner source when required. * **Architecture \& Quality:** Write clean, maintainable code and ensure high test quality. Participate in the RFC process to help shape the technical direction of the central tracking platform. * **Operational Excellence:** Own the monitoring, alerting, and performance profiling of your services using tools like Grafana, Sentry, or Prometheus. ### **Qualifications** * **Backend Expertise:** 2\-3 years of experience in backend development preferably using Java/Kotlin. * **API Design:** Strong experience in building and versioning APIs for mobile clients. You understand the specific challenges of mobile networking (flaky connections, battery impact, etc.). * **A collaborative mindset:** You enjoy partnering closely with mobile engineers to design and evolve APIs that aren't just functional, but are specifically optimized for the unique constraints and needs of a world\-class mobile experience. * **System Design:** Solid foundation in software design, data structures, and distributed systems. * **Cloud \& DevOps:** Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. * **Quality Mindset:** Passion for testing (Unit, Integration, and E2E) and a focus on "Definition of Done." * **Communication:** Full professional English proficiency and a collaborative mindset to work with multi\-disciplinary teams.
