Job Description and Workplace** Waste collection worker Environmental Services of Vallès Oriental Camí Ral, S/N, 08401 Granollers 24\.505,49 € Temporary 37.5 hours per week **2\. Participation Requirements and Eligibility Conditions** **2\.1 General Requirements for Eligibility** \- Possession of a **Class B driving license**, required to travel to the workplace. \- Availability and flexibility to perform **rotating shifts**, and to work on **weekends or holidays**, as inherently required by this position. **2\.2 Specific Requirements That Will Contribute Points During the Evaluation Phase** \- Two years’ experience in the waste sector, performing waste collection services, municipal teams, or landfill management. \- Two years’ experience in warehouses or logistics centers, performing loading/unloading tasks, order preparation, material classification, etc. \- One year’s experience in industrial environments, performing assembly line tasks, material handling, etc. **3\. Job Responsibilities** * Travel to respective municipalities to begin waste collection and follow established routes. * Open container lids, release container brakes, and remove existing waste. * Transport containers to the lifting systems of the collection vehicle. * Empty containers and collect any waste spilled during emptying; clean areas if necessary using brooms and shovels. * Return containers to their original locations and ensure they are securely closed with brakes engaged. * Assist the collection vehicle driver during maneuvers. * Report any incidents observed in public areas to the collection vehicle driver. * Clean and maintain collection vehicles. * For door-to-door services: correctly use identification systems; separately collect designated waste fractions according to scheduled collection days; and properly place bins. Manually collect bags distributed along streets and load them into collection vehicles; affix labels, notices, and other communication materials inside bins or attach labels to bags, as specified by the company’s technical service. * For bulky waste collection services: collect bulky items and transport them to the collection vehicle; when the vehicle is full, unload contents at corresponding landfills, separating each material into its designated compartment. * For pruning waste collection services: assist the vehicle driver in collecting pruning bags placed in public areas. * Other tasks appropriate to the laborer category, as required by company needs.
