Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced kitchen assistant for the preparation and presentation of various dishes, maintenance of the work area, and inventory management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Preparation and presentation of various dishes such as pasta, pizzas, and salads. 2. Maintenance and cleaning of the work area and equipment. 3. Collaboration in inventory management and implementation of the FIFO method. We are looking for an experienced kitchen assistant for a restaurant in Mataró. Your primary responsibility will be the preparation and presentation of various dishes—including pasta, pizzas, salads, and desserts—strictly following established recipes. You will play a key role in keeping the buffet fully stocked and visually appealing by performing continuous restocking and monitoring service timing for each dish. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining and cleaning your work area and the equipment used, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. Additionally, you will collaborate on inventory management, assisting with goods receipt and applying the FIFO method to monitor expiration dates—thereby optimizing operations and reducing food waste. We seek an agile, precise individual with a genuine passion for cooking. No specific academic qualification is required; however, a firm commitment to good hygiene and food safety practices during handling is essential. Temporary part-time contract. Minimum one year of demonstrable experience in similar positions. Solid knowledge of food handling and food safety principles (HACCP). Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical and mental agility to perform under pressure during peak demand periods. Ability to follow instructions and technical sheets precisely. Proactive attitude and enthusiasm for teamwork. Experience in high-volume kitchens or fast-food establishments will be valued.
