ONCE is seeking a Teacher for an indefinite-term vacancy at our Ávila Agency.
WHAT WILL YOU DO DAILY?
* Observation and assessment of infants and students under age 6.
* Assessment of assigned students.
* Development of the intervention plan proposal.
* Programming of intervention areas according to students’ needs.
* Itinerant visits to students’ educational centers.
* Direct in-person support to students both inside and outside the classroom, including recess periods.
* Support for adults pursuing formal education.
* Support for students enrolled in special education centers.
* School-based intervention through technical support and specialized advisory services to all stakeholders in the educational community.
* Keeping the educational community (families, schools, other teams or professionals) informed about the needs and capabilities of students with visual impairment.
* Adaptation of teaching materials and resources.
* Collaboration with other institutions or teams.
* Advisory support to classroom teachers regarding methodological and didactic resources, support strategies, and adaptation of resources and materials.
* Family-based intervention (individual or group level – e.g., parent schools, workshops).
* Introduction to information and communication technologies.
* Facilitation of normalization, inclusion, and student autonomy.
* Monitoring interventions carried out by other professionals with the assigned student.
* Development of supplementary programs and activities beyond direct support.
* Design of resources, research, and training for internal professionals and various stakeholders in the educational community.
* Coordination with other professionals.
WHAT DO WE REQUIRE FROM YOU? (Requirements)
* Teaching or pedagogy degree.
* English proficiency at B1 level, verified via official test.
* Knowledge of Braille.
* Proficiency in technological tools and Microsoft Office at user level.
* Minimum of two academic years’ experience as a teacher or pedagogue.
* Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
* In case of disability, valid disability certificate.
* Prior to hiring, submission of a negative certification from the Central Register of Sexual Offenders, or documentation proving application for such certification, in accordance with Article 12, paragraph 5, of Law 26/2015 on “Amendment of the Child and Adolescent Protection System”.
WHAT ELSE DO WE VALUE? (Desirable qualifications)
* Knowledge of sign language/alternative communication systems; experience working in education with students with visual impairment; courses related to the functions described herein; knowledge of corporate applications; participation in volunteer projects/actions.

* Indefinite-term contract.
* Working hours according to the current ONCE Collective Agreement for Staff and as determined by the Center.
\- Competitive salary of \+31\.000euros gross/year; after two years, promotion to senior category with salary of \+/\- 41\.000euros gross/year.
