




Position Summary: Autoocupació seeks a Professional Career Counselor to provide guidance to young people, with responsibilities including reception, diagnosis, design of personalized pathways, continuous accompaniment, and labor market insertion. As part of the Foundation’s growth process, we aim to hire a **Professional Career Counselor** to deliver career guidance to young people at our service centers in Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. The counselor’s responsibilities will include: * **Reception and initial personalized support:** proactive reception of young people, active listening to their needs, and preliminary identification of training, employment, and personal development requirements. * **Initial diagnosis and definition of professional profile:** conducting individual interviews and applying self-awareness tools to identify competencies, interests, and potential. * **Design of a personalized guidance pathway:** jointly establishing with the young person a realistic and flexible action plan oriented toward achieving their professional or educational goals. * **Continuous accompaniment throughout the guidance pathway:** actively monitoring agreed-upon steps, reinforcing autonomy, identifying barriers, and revising the plan when necessary. * **Accompaniment for labor market insertion:** supporting the preparation of job application materials, interview readiness, active job search, and engagement with companies to identify employment opportunities. * **Facilitation of group activities:** designing and leading practical workshops on job search and labor market insertion, training, and foundational and transversal competencies. * **Documentation and recordkeeping:** entering information into internal management applications and documents. * **Education:** University degree in Psychology and/or Pedagogy. * **Experience:** Experience in professional guidance or labor market insertion services—particularly with young people—is highly valued. Experience delivering guidance and/or training activities in secondary education institutions is also desirable. * **Competencies:** + **Effective communication:** active listening, empathy, and ability to convey information clearly and adapt it to the young person’s profile. + **Person-centered orientation:** ability to focus attention on each young person’s needs, interests, and potential, fostering their autonomy and decision-making capacity. + **Planning and organization:** skill in managing and prioritizing processes and activities, ensuring rigorous follow-up and effective coordination. + **Teamwork and collaboration:** ability to coordinate with other professionals within the service and external stakeholders in the local area. + **Commitment and responsibility:** dedication to the service’s mission, respect for diversity, and willingness to generate positive social impact. * **Languages:** Catalan and Spanish (C1 level). * **Additional Notes:** Integration into a dynamic, growing team, full of energy and deeply committed to helping individuals become who they want to be. * **Start Date:** Immediate. * **Working Hours:** Full-time. * **Workplace Location:** Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. * **Salary:** Between 21.000 and 22.000 euros gross per year (12 payments).
