We are looking for a **Data Scientist specialized in NLP and retrieval systems**, eager to join this new team from day one. A unique opportunity to **build, propose, and lead** in an environment where innovation, experimentation, and real business impact take center stage. ### **What will be your mission?** Design and develop solutions based on natural language processing and information retrieval systems, contributing to building the technological foundations of the AI and Innovation area. ### **This will be your day-to-day:** * **Content audit and cleaning:** You will analyze and prepare large volumes of unstructured information for exploitation. * **Design of advanced chunking strategies:** You will structure content to optimize its use in retrieval systems and language models. * **Metadata architecture:** You will define structures enabling improved indexing, traceability, and data quality. * **Creation of evaluation datasets:** You will develop datasets to measure model and system performance. * **Optimization of retrieval and embeddings:** You will work on improving semantic search and vector-based systems. * **Collaboration in building the area:** You will participate—under the supervision of the area director—in defining standards, best practices, and the team’s evolution. REQUIREMENTS ### **Who are we looking for? A person who matches these skills:** * Experience working with **Python, R, or Rust**, especially in text and data manipulation (Pandas, Regex, etc.). * Knowledge of **chunking techniques** applied to unstructured text and documents. * Experience in **NLP (Natural Language Processing)** and **semantic search**. * Proficiency with **SQL, NoSQL, and/or BigQuery** databases. * Analytical ability, autonomy, and an experimentation-oriented mindset. * Residence in Zaragoza and availability to work in a hybrid (2/3\) or fully on-site format. ### **We value positively:** * Knowledge of **MLOps**. * Experience in **Machine Learning**. * Interest in innovation environments, prototyping, and developing new solutions. ### **Why us and not others?
