You will be responsible for leading engineering technical teams, defining complex architectures, coordinating with strategic stakeholders, and ensuring delivery of innovative, secure, and scalable solutions that enhance natural interaction between users and systems. **About the job:** **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Technical leadership: Guide and supervise software engineering teams in developing AI-powered voice assistants. * Advanced architecture design: Define and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures for NLP, speech-to-text (STT), and text-to-speech (TTS) systems. * User experience innovation: Collaborate with conversational UX teams to ensure natural, contextual, and personalized interactions. * Management of complex projects: Coordinate multiple initiatives in parallel, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with business objectives. * Technical integrations: Lead integration of assistants with APIs, backend systems, cloud services, and voice platforms (Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, proprietary platforms). * Contact Center: Lead technological transformation and innovation projects in Contact Center environments, ensuring seamless integration of voice assistants with customer service platforms. * Genesys: Supervise and contribute technical expertise in the implementation, customization, and integration of Genesys solutions to optimize omnichannel experience. * Quality and performance: Establish KPIs, design continuous optimization strategies, and oversee testing for accuracy, latency, and robustness. * Mentorship and technical culture: Develop talent, promote sound engineering practices, and cultivate an environment of continuous innovation. **REQUIREMENTS:** **Education and experience:** * Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (postgraduate degree or master’s in AI highly valued). * 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 4–5 years leading technical teams or serving as a tech lead. * Proven, substantial experience in voice assistant, NLP, NLU, and LLM projects (experience with OpenAI models especially valued). * Experience in Contact Center projects integrating virtual assistants and voice automation systems. * Technical experience working with Genesys, including configuration, customization, and integration with other systems. * Technical experience in microservices architecture and event-driven systems. * Experience managing large-scale projects in cloud environments and distributed architectures. * Knowledge of BBVA Ether / NextGen platform is highly desirable, specifically ASO and APX architectures. * Participation in GloMO mobile app development projects is highly desirable. * Agile methodology experience is highly desirable. **Technical skills:** ------------------------- * Voice technologies: Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech (e.g., Whisper, Amazon Transcribe, Google Speech, Azure Cognitive Services). * Commercial LLMs: OpenAI (especially valued), Claude, Gemini, and their integration into conversational applications. * Open-source LLMs: LLaMA, Falcon, Mistral, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain. * Software architecture: Microservices design, event-driven architectures, REST/GraphQL APIs, messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub). * Advanced programming: Python, Node.js, and distributed microservice-based environments. * Cloud & MLOps: Extensive experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; scalable deployments; CI/CD pipelines; and production environment management. * Engineering best practices: DevOps, security, software quality, and agile methodologies. **Soft skills:** ---------------- * Inspirational leadership and ability to manage multicultural teams. * Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders at executive level. * Strategic mindset, product vision, and results orientation. * High capacity for innovation in dynamic and changing environments. **Skills:** RESTful APIs, Technical Designs
