Description

University educational project · Madrid · Permanent contract Madrid Permanent contract · Full-time · On-site Salary: €27,000 – €31,000 gross/year Are you passionate about working with university students and creating experiences that go far beyond the academic realm? We are seeking a University Life and Activities Coordinator for a renowned Madrid University Residence Hall, closely linked to the university environment and driven by a clear educational mission. This is a highly people-oriented position designed for someone approachable, organized, and solution-focused—capable of becoming a trusted reference figure for students during a particularly pivotal stage of their lives. We are not merely looking for someone to organize activities. We seek a person able to energize residence life, support residents, and actively contribute to building community. The project The University Residence Hall primarily hosts students from various regions across Spain who relocate to Madrid to pursue their university studies. During their stay, the Residence Hall offers not only accommodation but also a shared living environment fostering personal development, training, mentorship, and coexistence. Therefore, this role plays a key part in shaping residents’ overall experience. What will your mission be? You will serve as one of the primary reference persons for residents during their stay, combining activity coordination with monitoring of cohabitation, academic progress, and communication with families. Your work will directly impact the quality of residents’ university experience. Main responsibilities Your duties will include: Designing, organizing, and coordinating the annual program of cultural, sports, social, and solidarity-based activities. Encouraging student participation and fostering community life. Organizing seminars, lectures, panel discussions, meetings, and other educational initiatives. Coordinating and supporting residents in sports competitions and physical activities. Monitoring residents’ academic and personal progress. Maintaining close, professional relationships with parents and families. Addressing and resolving questions, incidents, or issues related to cohabitation. Participating in resident assemblies and representative forums. Ensuring compliance with internal regulations and managing, when necessary, matters concerning cohabitation or discipline. Representing the University Residence Hall before universities, institutions, or academic bodies. Collaborating with the Communications Department to promote activities via the website and social media. Working with Management on initiatives aimed at enhancing residents’ experience and engagement. We would like to meet someone with experience in educational settings, university environments, student residences, University Residence Halls, or youth-related projects. We especially seek: University education: Bachelor’s degree, Licentiate degree, or equivalent. Approximately 5 years of professional experience. Experience coordinating activities or educational, cultural, sports, or social programs. Experience working with university students or adolescents. Strong organizational and planning skills. Communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Empathy and ability to support students while maintaining professional judgment. Maturity to manage cohabitation situations or potential conflicts. Ability to interact effectively with families, institutions, and the university community. Initiative, autonomy, and problem-solving capacity. Previous experience in the following areas will be especially valued: University Residence Halls. University student residences. Universities or educational centers. Youth associations. Foundations or social organizations. Organization of cultural, sports, or educational activities. An important aspect: working hours The University Residence Hall’s activities largely occur after students finish their university classes. For this reason, we seek someone who values a dynamic role and is primarily available during afternoon hours. There is flexibility in scheduling the workday; however, please note the following: From Monday to Thursday, the standard workday typically extends until approximately 6:00 p.m. Approximately two or three days per week—depending on scheduled activities—you will need to work until 9:00–9:30 p.m. On Fridays, the workday ends around 2:30 p.m. This schedule is an inherent part of the role, as lectures, cultural events, sports competitions, and student meetings usually take place in the afternoon. What do we offer? Permanent contract. Stable professional project. Annual gross salary range between €27,000 and €31,000, commensurate with experience. Expected start date between late August and early September. A position offering autonomy and initiative. Direct contact with students, families, and the university community. Active involvement in defining and developing activities. A professional environment strongly oriented toward education and social purpose. A role where your work delivers highly visible impact on individuals. Why might this be a unique opportunity? Because here you will not merely manage an activity schedule. You will help build a community. You will have the opportunity to accompany young people throughout their university years—identifying needs, launching initiatives, encouraging participation, and contributing to making their Madrid experience academically, personally, and socially enriching. If you come from the educational, university, or activity management sectors—and seek a stable project where connecting with people is just as vital as organizational capability—this position may be especially interesting for you. Selection process The process will consist of approximately two stages. The search is being conducted with absolute confidentiality, ensuring maximum discretion throughout the entire process.
