PYTHON Developer for Data Management

Job Summary: We are seeking a Back-End Developer for the Data Management area to work on the development of Ximdex components and big-data projects, enhancing interoperability and applying Machine Learning. Key Highlights: 1. Development of key components: XGET, XSIR, XRPA 2. Participation in big-data and Machine Learning projects 3. Open-source software environment and emerging technologies At Ximdex, we aim to hire a Back\-End Developer for the Data Management area. Help us develop our components XGET (Data Aggregation), XSIR (Semantic Information Repository), and XRPA (Robotic Process Automation), as well as client-facing big\-data projects, improve interoperability among cloud repositories, automatically normalize and update remote repositories, apply Machine Learning techniques to generate recommendations, etc. Requirements: * Demonstrable experience in PYTHON and its ecosystem. * Experience with tools such as Matlab, PowerBI, … * Expert-level user experience with UNIX operating systems (Linux) * Familiarity with design patterns and version control systems (e.g., GIT, SVN, …) * English proficiency at B2 level or higher We especially value candidates meeting several of the following criteria: * Participation in open-source software projects * Experience with virtualization services and containers (Docker, Kubernetes) * Familiarity with agile development methodologies * Proficiency with GIT (fine, we accept SVN though we prefer GIT) * Knowledge of Semantic Web technologies: Apache Stanbol, RDF, OWL, … * Programming language knowledge: PHP, Golang, R, Javascript, Ruby, … * Knowledge of web technologies such as XML/XSLT, HTML5 and CSS3, WAI, etc. * Experience as a Drupal developer (projects, modules, etc.) * Experience with systems such as Elasticsearch, Apache SOLR, etc. * Experience with systems such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, etc. About Open Ximdex Evolution SL: Join the development of the Ximdex Platform, an EIM — i.e., a semantic information manager (data and content) — offering services for structured editing, indexing, interoperability, syndication, aggregation, transformation, ….
