




Job Summary: We are seeking an NPI Engineer to execute industrialization and new product launch activities, ensuring manufacturing processes are ready for mass production and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Due to increased activity, we are looking for an **NPI Engineer**, based in **Parets del Vallès, Barcelona**. As part of the **NPI (New Product Introduction) Team**, you will be responsible for: * Executing industrialization and new product launch (NPI) activities for SIM and SMD products, ensuring manufacturing processes are properly prepared, validated and ready for mass production. * Providing technical support during product start-ups, participating in the preparation, execution and stabilization of new references and/or lines, following defined priorities and guidelines. * Implementing engineering and process changes in existing products, ensuring the latest product versions, materials and processes are correctly applied on the shop floor. * Conducting industrial trials, validations and ramp-ups (initial samples, Product Validation Runs, Run-at-Rate), analyzing quality and performance results and proposing technical actions when required. * Providing technical support to the Studio team, particularly regarding pre-press, materials, color proof, artworks, stationery and card body design, ensuring industrial feasibility, visual quality and compliance with product requirements. * Collaborating with cross-functional areas such as Production, Quality, Logistics, Development and Studio to ensure smooth introduction of new products and correct implementation of changes. * Performing technical analyses of line capacity and flexibility, providing data and scenarios to support planning and decision-making. * Supporting internal and external audits related to product launches and processes, ensuring proper preparation of technical evidence and implementation of corrective actions. * Contributing to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives through technical analysis, industrial validation and proposals for process and material optimization. * Monitoring technical KPIs during launch and stabilization phases (First Pass Yield, Lead Time, visual quality, material performance) and reporting conclusions to the Coordinator. **Experience, Knowledge and Skills** * Experience in industrialization and new product launch (NPI) engineering within manufacturing environments. * **Advanced Spanish and English** * Knowledge of industrial processes for SIM and SMD products, including process routes, materials and validations. * Experience in executing product start-ups, ramp-up and stabilization in production. * Knowledge and application of engineering and process change management (Engineering Change / Process Change). * Ability to conduct industrial trials and validations (initial samples, Product Validation Runs, Run-at-Rate). * Experience in analyzing line capacity and flexibility, providing technical data for planning. * Knowledge of pre-press, materials, color proof, artwork and stationery/card body, with focus on industrial feasibility. * Ability to work with technical KPIs such as First Pass Yield, Lead Time, visual quality and material performance. * Basic knowledge of quality systems and compliance applicable to production and NPI. * Ability to work in a structured, analytical and technically execution-oriented manner. * Capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Logistics, Development, Studio). * Prior experience in regulated or certified environments (ISO, IATF/VDA or others). * Knowledge of printing, packaging and personalization processes. * Experience in industrial cost reduction and process optimization. * Knowledge of graphic design or pre-press tools (packaging, artwork, color validation). * Experience in direct technical support to the Studio team during new product launches. * Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, PDCA, 5 Whys). * Experience participating in internal or external audits of industrial processes. * Ability to document processes, lessons learned and post-launch standardization. * Strong technical communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders. **What We Offer?** * Flexible compensation (meal vouchers and social benefits: childcare, training, etc.) * Life insurance * Partially subsidized health insurance * Various work-life balance services * Savings club Thales is an equal opportunity employer.
