Summary: We are seeking a speech-therapist to improve the speech, language, and communication skills of individuals with Down syndrome, integrating families and support services. Highlights: 1. Assessment and diagnosis of speech, language, and communication 2. Design and implementation of speech-language therapy intervention programs 3. Coordination with multidisciplinary teams and participation in training and research The Catalan Down Syndrome Foundation promotes and safeguards respect for the inherent dignity and equality of rights, freedoms, and opportunities of all individuals with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities. We seek a professional to join our team as a speech-therapist, ensuring improvement in the speech, language, and communication abilities of service users, adopting a holistic perspective that integrates families and various support services, aligned with the Foundation’s mission, vision, and values. Functions and responsibilities: • Assess service users (anamnesis, standardized tests, and assessment scales) and formulate diagnoses related to speech, language, and communication. • Design, implement, and evaluate individualized speech-language therapy intervention programs. • Prepare clinical reports and conduct periodic follow-up of intervention processes. • Support, advise, and mediate among service users, their families, and key stakeholders in participation settings (case management). • Coordinate with internal and external teams and participate in committees, training activities, and research projects. • Supervise students on clinical placements and maintain service records and documentation. * Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. * Catalan (spoken: advanced; written: advanced) * Spanish (spoken: advanced; written: advanced) * Competencies / knowledge required: Requirements: • Degree in Speech-Language Therapy (Diploma, Bachelor’s, or equivalent). • Minimum 1 year of experience in similar roles. • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom/Meet, and Microsoft Office (intermediate level). • Valid registration with the Catalan College of Speech-Language Therapists. • Catalan and Spanish proficiency at minimum B2 level; C1 recommended.
