Description

Job Summary: Design and manage compensation and benefits programs for a high-performing team within a rapidly growing European company, consolidating practices and ensuring legal compliance. Key Highlights: 1. Direct impact on the global compensation strategy and team building 2. AI-powered automation for efficiency and reporting 3. Culture of autonomy, dynamism, and genuine ownership CrowdFarming has grown rapidly, and now it’s time to consolidate. Five countries, 300 people, multiple legal entities — that is our starting point. In People, we work to build and sustain a high-performing team. Every role contributes from its own position. Yours: designing and managing compensation and benefits programs that enable us to attract and motivate talent with internal equity, market competitiveness, and legal compliance. Harmonize practices across entities, standardize terms and conditions, and get the new HRIS fully operational. And all this from an operational standpoint — you will also coordinate payroll and daily administrative tasks. CrowdFarming is Europe’s largest direct-to-consumer organic produce network. €90M in sales in 2025 and double-digit growth, a team of 300 people from 18 nationalities, with employees in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and Belgium. Our mission: to make regenerative organic farming viable for farmers and accessible to consumers. **What will be on your plate:** You’ll join a functional area, but one operating across multiple entities with disparate practices, siloed files that don’t interoperate, and a clear 2026 mandate: finalize the global compensation strategy, consolidate People processes across countries and entities, and implement a new HRIS. Your mission: transform compensation from a country-by-country conversation into a real lever for building the team CrowdFarming needs. Your decisions directly impact how we build the team that sustains the business. **Day-to-day responsibilities** * Design salary bands and remuneration policies robust enough to hold a consistent conversation with a manager in Madrid and another in Berlin — without them feeling like two different conversations. * Lead annual salary review and bonus cycles. * Coordinate payroll across the five subsidiaries with our local vendors, ensuring accuracy in payments, withholdings, and social security contributions, and driving the transition from manual to automated processes. * Manage multi-country labor compliance: employment contracts, occupational health and safety (PRL), corporate restructurings. You’ll maintain relationships with local legal advisors and serve as the internal point of contact when questions arise. * Build People dashboards: cost per FTE, compensation ratios, internal equity, gross profit/FTE. Consolidate data from various entities into unified reports that support decision-making. Automate everything automatable. We use AI across all teams, and you’re expected to do so too — from HRIS data consolidation to generating insights and reporting. **Who you are** You genuinely love compensation: you’re drawn to designing salary bands that work across five countries simultaneously, and you care that pay decisions are grounded in sound judgment and data — not habit. You command labor and payroll law at an operational level: collective bargaining agreements, employment contracts, reforms, inspections. You know what applies, how it differs across countries, and who to call when a rare case arises. Compliance is part of your craft, not a formality. Reporting isn’t an afterthought either: you care that People metrics are readable, comparable, and actionable. You rely on Excel/Sheets, HRIS, and AI tools to scale rigor. You’re not passing through administration — you want to leave a lasting mark on how a robust C\&B function is built within a fast-growing, multi-country company. * Must-have: * Proven experience in Compensation \& Benefits and HR administration within multi-country European environments * Practical knowledge of Spanish labor and payroll law; advantageous if you also know the laws of other countries where we operate (FR, DE, IT, BE). * Advanced proficiency in Excel/Sheets (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query or equivalent) and hands-on experience with HRIS. * Minimum C1 English. The People team operates in Spanish; communication with other subsidiaries and managers is in English. * Real-world application of AI in People processes. You haven’t just tried it once — you use it regularly. **Why CrowdFarming, and why now** A business in full European consolidation mode. Founders retain majority ownership, stay deeply involved day-to-day, remain grounded, and harbor enormous ambition. Top-tier investors support scaling direct-to-consumer organic sales from a niche market to the primary commercial channel for Europe’s 10 million farmers. In March 2025, we completed the acquisition of *La Ruche qui dit Oui!*, France’s leading platform, cementing Europe’s largest farm-to-consumer channel. In 2026, we launch farmeneur.com — the first digital cooperative supporting farmers’ transition to regenerative models. And we’re eager to keep growing organically and inorganically. All this unfolds within a culture with a strong, distinct identity: high pace, real dynamism, true autonomy, and genuine ownership — no one will tell you how to build the C\&B strategy for five countries, but they’ll certainly notice when you do it well. You’ll work cross-functionally with Finance, Talent, and team managers, and you’re expected to apply AI daily — not as decoration, but as a lever. **What we offer** An indefinite full-time contract with genuine flexibility in working hours. Intensive workdays every Friday year-round, plus entire months of July and August. Hybrid format: 2 days in the office (Madrid), the rest wherever you choose. The typical perks of a company that understands the people who compose it are its most valuable asset in achieving its mission: flexible compensation, training opportunities, co-financed private health insurance, organic fruit to take home, and credits for many things (birthdays, anniversaries, candidate referrals) to order any product from our farmers. **If you’ve read this far** We don’t mind if your CV doesn’t match perfectly. What matters is how you think, what you can build, and whether you’re eager to make real business impact. We value unconventional career paths and people who don’t wait to be told how to do their job well. Someone who embraces end-to-end responsibility and speaks in data — not vague abstractions. If you want to build the compensation strategy for a multi-country company, unify operations across five European subsidiaries, and establish the People dashboards that don’t yet exist — we want to meet you.
