**Some trades are instantly recognizable just by watching people at work**
We are looking to hire an experienced charcutier\-butcher to join a specialized shop offering charcuterie, butchered meats, fresh products, and assisted sales.
We seek a person who is approachable, agile, and responsible—someone who understands that selling also means listening, recommending, and building trust.
**Your day-to-day responsibilities**
You will work behind the counter serving customers, preparing products, and maintaining an attractive display.
You will slice cured meats, hams, and cheeses; cut and prepare meat; prepare fresh items such as hamburgers, skewers, or meat rolls; and keep the workspace clean, organized, and appealing.
You will also use specialized tools: a slicing machine, knives, a meat grinder, a saw, a scale, and a vacuum sealer—always with safety and judgment.
Your work will be essential in ensuring customers find quality, excellent service, and a welcoming shopping experience.
**What we’re looking for**
A candidate with at least 3 years of experience as a butcher or charcutier.
We value proficiency in knife cutting, experience operating a slicing machine, and knowledge of charcuterie products—including cured meats, hams, cheeses, fresh prepared items, and main meat cuts.
Strong commercial attitude, autonomy, organization, cleanliness, and ease in customer interaction.
Advanced or native-level Catalan.
Basic English skills to serve international or tourist customers.
**What we offer**
Join a stable company with a positive work environment in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona.
Salary: €20\.500 gross per year
Rotating shifts: mornings (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and afternoons (2 p.m. to 9 p.m.), Monday through Saturday (one week each). Voluntary Sunday work is possible during morning hours at a rate of €90 gross per worked Sunday.
Internal training on food handling, products, procedures, and quality standards.
Opportunities for continued employment and professional growth within the team.
**Why might this role be right for you?**
Because you appreciate neighborhood commerce.
Because you value fresh products and personal interaction with customers.
Because you know a well-maintained counter catches the eye—but it’s the overall experience that brings customers back.
If you possess craftsmanship and wish to work in an environment where professionalism is valued, we’d love to meet\-you.
