Job Summary: The Precision Assembler will be responsible for preparing assembly work and documentation. This position will also assemble various equipment and tools, and perform required testing. In addition, this role will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly during any repair process. This person will have access to the most modern materials and tools in our facilities to meet these expectations and ensure delivery of high-quality products to our customers. Your Role: Perform assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, conducting tests when necessary. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of inspection equipment, its functions and applications, to ensure all parts and assemblies meet specifications. Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed correctly, following all assembly procedures. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Operate various precision measurement tools—including micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs)—in a warehouse environment, as well as hand tools such as hydraulic torque wrenches and torches. Troubleshoot issues during assembly. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a results-oriented approach. Capable of performing basic mathematical functions, including calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, and converting one type of measurement to another. Participate in CIP activities as needed and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and technical drawings, safety standards, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly with peers, supervisors, and customers. Demonstrate a customer service mindset to ensure timeliness and quality of workmanship. Basic computer proficiency to use/learn data entry systems and Microsoft Office suite. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed with minimal advance notice. Demonstrate behavior that fosters teamwork and continuous improvement. Must be able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 22.7 kg (50 lb). Other duties as assigned. Your Profile: Shop experience. Knowledge of automation controls and electrical components. Experience as a rotating machinery mechanic, mechanical device technician, or general mechanic.
