We are looking for a cook to join our team on a permanent basis. If you have experience in hotels or restaurants with elaborate service, enjoy working in a dynamic environment, and are committed to continuous training, we would like to meet you. Hotel Empordà, located in Figueres, is an iconic establishment with over 50 years of history. Recognized for its gastronomic tradition through the restaurant El Motel, we offer our guests unique experiences that combine hospitality, culinary excellence, and personalized service. Our team works passionately to maintain the prestige and quality that distinguish us. \- Prepare and cook dishes following established recipes. \- Monitor cooking times and dish presentation. \- Supervise ingredient and raw material quality. \- Collaborate in organizing the kitchen team’s work, guiding assistants and auxiliaries. Monitor and track raw and cooked products, labeled with expiration dates. \- Comply with and enforce hygiene and food safety regulations (\*HACCP). \- Manage product stock and communicate needs to the responsible person. \- Participate in menu and staff meal planning together with the head chef. \- Ensure cleanliness and order in the work area. * Minimum 2 years’ experience. Prior experience as a cook in hot sections. Preferably in a hotel or restaurant with elaborate service. * Catalan (spoken: Intermediate, written: Proficient) * Spanish (spoken: Advanced, written: Intermediate) * Competencies / knowledge: \- Organizational skills: Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritizing tasks in a dynamic work environment. \- Proactive attitude: Responsible, punctual person with a positive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement. \- Attention to detail: In preparation, presentation, and preservation of products. \- Rigor in task execution: Ensuring high-quality standards are maintained at all times. \- Teamwork and pressure management: Ability to work under pressure and collaboratively. * Permanent employment contract * Full-time schedule * Gross monthly salary ranging from '1663' to '2000' * Additional information of interest: 14 annual payments. Working hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two rotating weekly days off.
