We are currently seeking a Second Laundry Manager to join our Industrial Laundry. If you have experience in production environments, team organization, and laundry processes, and enjoy combining operational management with staff mentoring, we would like to meet you!
Actively participate in the laundry’s production process, provide direct support to production by performing packaging and labeling tasks for processed garments and ensuring their proper preparation for delivery. Support the Laundry Manager in the daily organization and coordination of the service, guaranteeing the correct operation of various production processes. Organize washing, drying, ironing, packaging, and packing tasks according to workload and deadlines agreed upon with clients. Distribute and assign team tasks, considering production needs and individual capabilities—especially in the absence of the service manager. Monitor and manage staff schedules, as well as garment delivery and collection times, in accordance with workload and in the absence of the service manager. Control incoming client garments and supervise their correct identification, classification, and treatment. Review the quality of washed, processed, or subcontracted garments and verify accurate completion of tracking sheets. Prepare and manage delivery notes and other documentation related to the production process and garment delivery. Monitor the proper functioning of machinery and report any malfunctions to the responsible person. Address daily incidents involving staff members and respond to the service’s operational needs. Train and mentor new hires on the laundry’s daily operations, production processes, work methods, and machinery usage. Monitor and support staff undergoing employment integration pathways within the laundry, assisting their adaptation and professional development in the workplace. Ensure team safety, compliance with rest periods, task rotation, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Address and channel incidents or complaints from internal and external clients, escalating them to the responsible person when necessary. Act in accordance with established procedures under the Quality and Environmental Management System and contribute to identifying potential improvement actions.
* Experience: 1 year. Minimum one-year experience in industrial laundry, production environments, or similar supervisory and team-organization roles.
* LOWER SECONDARY EDUCATION WITH DIPLOMA
* Competencies / knowledge: Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO). A Professional Certificate in Auxiliary Operations for Industrial and Local Laundries—or other training related to textile processes, industrial laundry, or production—is desirable.
