About the Technology Area You will join the Quantum Technologies team, embedded within the Advanced Communications area. You will contribute to the growth of an R\+D\+i line focused on quantum computing algorithms and hybrid classical-quantum computing, spanning all Gradiant business units. From this position, you will execute and lead cutting-edge innovation projects where you will implement disruptive quantum computing solutions to address problems and use cases across diverse domains. We seek a candidate with experience in quantum computing algorithms and Quantum Machine Learning (QML), ensuring the development of solutions aligned with defined requirements and the delivery of high-quality software, while actively collaborating with leading entities in the quantum computing sector. What You Will Do **Day-to-day responsibilities include:** * Experiment with state-of-the-art quantum algorithms to solve optimization, classification, and prediction problems. * Develop and optimize quantum computing software for applications across various domains, such as resource management in communication networks, logistics, drug discovery, materials or chemical compound design, etc. * Design and develop hybrid machine learning methodologies leveraging quantum-accelerated computational layers. * Design efficient quantum algorithms and implement quantum software solutions using quantum platforms such as Qiskit, Cirq, PyQuil, or similar. * Work on integrating quantum software with classical HPC platforms. * Ensure software quality by performing testing and validation of quantum algorithms on simulators/emulators and quantum computers. * Identify quantum computing application opportunities, contributing to the conceptualization of new R\+D\+i projects. * Manage R\+D\+i projects in the field of quantum computing and QML. * Support technological surveillance and promotion of emerging quantum computing technologies, algorithms, and techniques enabling improvement of current systems. What We Are Looking For * \+3 years of experience developing quantum computing or Quantum Machine Learning projects. * University degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Chemistry, or related fields. Postgraduate studies (Master’s, PhD) in quantum computing and QML-related topics are highly valued. * Knowledge and hands-on experience in quantum computing, as well as quantum platforms and languages (Qiskit, PennyLane, Cirq, PyQuil, etc.). * Solid knowledge of linear algebra, quantum mechanics, artificial intelligence, and optimization. * Ability to write efficient Python code integrating machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.). * Capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and creatively solve complex problems. * Interest in developing state-of-the-art quantum computing software to solve real-world computational challenges across multiple sectors. * High level of commitment, autonomy, and teamwork. * Excellent communication skills, with strong spoken and written English proficiency. It Would Be Great If You Had, * Experience working with quantum computing hardware and/or quantum simulators. * Prior experience managing software development projects. * Experience with version control tools (git) and Atlassian-type management tools (Confluence, Jira). * Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as C\+\+, Python, Julia, etc. * Publications or participation in research projects in quantum computing and QML. * Experience drafting R\+D\+i proposals in quantum computing.
