PURCHASING TECHNICIAN – CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS

Description

A construction company is seeking a **Purchasing Technician for Construction Materials** to join a residential project on the Costa del Sol. We are currently developing a major project involving the **construction of a housing development comprising over 80 units**. **Responsibilities:** * Procurement management of construction materials for the project. * Supplier identification, selection, and negotiation. * Requesting and comparing quotations. * Negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules. * Placing orders and monitoring their status. * Coordinating deliveries directly at the construction site. * Monitoring prices, quantities, and order documentation. * Sourcing alternative materials and new suppliers. * Continuous coordination with the Site Manager, Site Supervisor, and Administration Department. * Resolving supply-related issues, delivery problems, and supplier matters. **Requirements:** * Prior experience in **purchasing and procurement of construction materials**. * Solid knowledge of construction materials, finishes, tools, and suppliers. * Experience working with construction material suppliers and warehouses. * Ability to negotiate and compare offers. * **Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.** * Proficiency in computer tools. * Organized, responsible, solution-oriented, and capable of working autonomously. * Valid driver's license. **Preferred qualifications:** * Familiarity with construction suppliers in Málaga and the Costa del Sol. * Prior experience working directly for a construction company. * Experience in large-volume residential projects. **Location:** Costa del Sol, Málaga **Working hours:** Full-time **Start date:** Immediate **Salary:** To be agreed upon based on experience.
