Electrical Maintenance Technician

Description

We are seeking personnel to perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on electrical and industrial installations and equipment in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults and repairing electrical systems, as well as assembling and disassembling motors, actuators, and luminaires. Additionally, candidates must lay conductors and install conduits, cable trays, and supports, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations. The role covers maintenance of auxiliary systems such as lighting, batteries, chargers, and UPS units, including inspections of critical equipment to prevent failures. Testing and verification using measuring instruments are conducted, checking control loops, sensors, and thermocouples. Furthermore, electrical and instrumentation components are replaced, always applying electrical safety regulations to ensure a risk-free working environment. The contract is permanent, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00. Salary is commensurate with experience, offering a stable technical environment and employment conditions aligned with the industry. Candidates must hold vocational training in electricity or a related technical field, with proven experience in electrical and industrial instrumentation maintenance. In-depth knowledge of control systems, sensors, and power generation equipment is essential, as is the ability to diagnose and repair faults in complex electrical installations. Candidates must be proficient in electrical safety regulations and possess skills to conduct technical tests and verifications. Competence in conduit installation and conductor laying is considered an advantage.
