Job Summary: We are seeking an Infrastructure and Operations Consultant IBERIA to lead the evolution of the operating model, drive observability, and ensure cloud operations for applications and products. We are looking for an Infrastructure and Operations Consultant IBERIA (I\&O IBERIA) to join our cross-functional platform team, responsible for leading the evolution of the operating model, driving and evolving observability, ensuring cloud operations for applications, platforms, and products, implementing best practices for Service Delivery Management, and guaranteeing "Production Readiness". You will join a dynamic and highly goal-oriented team focused on resolution, ensuring availability, performance, service levels, and compliance for MAPFRE Spain's cloud applications. Your DNA must embody "everything as code": from Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to auto-remediation, pipelines, CD, etc., with strong cloud expertise in compute, serverless, storage, and networking—all oriented toward a Platform Engineering-based model. JOB FUNCTIONS (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES) Service Delivery Manager: * Responsible for ensuring technology services are delivered effectively, aligned with business objectives, and meeting quality standards; to achieve this, you will supervise execution of contracted services and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). * Act as liaison between product, platform, application, SRE, architecture, and security technical teams. * Organize and lead teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. * Identify opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and delivery methodologies. * Monitor external vendor performance and ensure subcontracted services meet established standards. * Analyze key performance indicators and prepare reports for management. Strategic Management: * Participate in planning, designing, and executing the Observability 360 roadmap for MAPFRE Spain, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives of senior leadership, enabling data-driven and operationally grounded decisions regarding availability, performance, and security. * Design and evolve Production Readiness for applications using Agile/Lean principles to support development, maintenance, SRE, and architecture teams in delivering applications to production with necessary guarantees of availability, performance, security, and operational resilience. * Drive automation and the "everything as code" objective as part of the new application operating model. Technical Oversight: * Ensure implementation and operation of observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, standards like OpenTelemetry, alerting, auto-scaling, auto-remediation, etc., to guarantee adherence to the operating model and Production Readiness. * Collaborate with Architecture, SRE team, Release Management, and Product teams to ensure application design and subsequent implementation meet leadership requirements and objectives, adapting and aligning Production Readiness according to emerging needs. * Monitor and follow up on required security compliance for Spain’s infrastructures, ensuring regional infrastructures and services remain "compliant", maintaining appropriate reporting to the Regional CTO on status and necessary action plans. * Promote use of reference architectures and automation via Terraform, Ansible, and CAP in infrastructure pipelines and operations. Team Management: * Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams supporting achievement of I\&O Iberia and business leadership objectives. * Act as a unifying point among various product, platform, and vendor teams, establishing mechanisms to optimize collaboration toward common goals, fostering data-driven decision-making and prioritization aligned with organizational strategy. Supervision and Reporting: * Ensure area leadership receives necessary, accurately updated reports for presentation and defense in various Steering, Management, and Strategic Committees: SLA, SLO, APPDEX, COMPLIANCE, etc. * Lead vulnerability tracking in coordination with responsible teams (Security/DCS, Product, Infrastructure, vendors), ensuring prioritization, action plans, timeline control, and evidence of mitigation/closure. * Drive tracking of technological obsolescence (software, platforms, and components out of support), aligned with the entity’s annual technology upgrade plans. * Track decommissioning plans for applications defined in the Systems Plan, ensuring progress, dependencies, risks, milestones, communication in relevant steering forums, and reflection in leadership reports. * Be responsible for ensuring dashboards exist that represent the status of activities and responsibilities of I\&O Iberia leadership, adapting, evolving, or creating those as needed. Communication: * Promote and communicate core pillars of MAPFRE Spain’s Cross-Functional Platform Services operating model based on CloudOps (NoOps), Production Readiness, end-to-end observability, and extreme automation with an "everything as code" mindset. * Be responsible for clearly and promptly communicating any changes, improvements, or benefits introduced into existing or new processes impacting governance models and relationships with Product, Platform, Architecture, and SRE teams. EDUCATION AND REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE Advanced level, with demonstrable experience working with AWS and Azure, including deep knowledge of HA and DR models oriented toward cloud application resilience. Advanced level, with demonstrable experience working with Kafka, MongoDB, Kubernetes (OpenShift, AKS, EKS, …). Expert-level knowledge of ITIL processes. Solid automation skills, preferably infrastructure-focused (Terraform, Ansible), with high value placed on experience with hyperscaler SDKs or APIs and OpenShift. Advanced-level administration, implementation, and operation of Dynatrace and the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, and Mimir). Proficiency with the OpenTelemetry standard: Access and Policy Management, Dashboard Design and Alert Configuration, Performance Monitoring and Optimization, log exploitation, etc. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION Minimum 5 years in ITIL-related roles, including at least 3 years as a Service Delivery Manager. Minimum 5 years coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing projects with multiple dependencies in cloud environments. Minimum 3 years designing cloud application, platform, and service architectures—preferably in Serverless or PaaS models—and their automated deployment and operation. Minimum 3 years implementing, operating, and using observability tools such as Dynatrace and the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, and Mimir), and proficiency with the OpenTelemetry standard.
