Job Summary: Ensure the optimal condition, functionality, and presentation of the hotel’s carpentry elements, maintaining the aesthetic appeal, functionality, and safety of the facilities. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain the hotel’s luxurious and well-maintained appearance through carpentry touch-ups. 2. Carry out preventive and urgent repairs on furniture and carpentry elements. 3. Fabricate and adapt new components according to the hotel’s requirements. INSOTEL HOTEL GROUP is a renowned hotel chain in the Balearic Islands undergoing active expansion. Your primary role within the company will be to ensure the proper condition, functionality, and presentation of all hotel carpentry elements (interior and exterior), contributing to the aesthetic, functional, and safe maintenance of facilities in accordance with INSOTEL HOTEL GROUP’s quality and sustainability standards, under the supervision of the SSTT Manager. **Your main responsibilities will include:** * Conduct periodic inspections of wooden installations: doors, windows, flooring, furniture, baseboards, decorative ceilings, cabinets, reception desks, pergolas, and exterior structures. * Identify and repair defects, wear, breakages, or deterioration, ensuring safety and a high standard of presentation across all areas. * Perform preventive maintenance tasks as outlined in the hotel’s maintenance plan, documenting all interventions carried out. * Repair and adjust locks, hinges, guides, handles, drawers, and furniture mechanisms. * Fabricate or adapt new components (panels, moldings, shelves, frames) as required by the hotel, using carpentry machinery and hand tools. * Assemble, disassemble, or relocate furniture in guest rooms, common areas, kitchens, restaurants, spas, or outdoor areas. * Install new decorative or functional carpentry elements in accordance with technical drawings or instructions. * Apply protective treatments, varnishes, paints, or oils onto wood or wood-derived surfaces. * Sand, clean, and retouch visible components to maintain the hotel’s luxurious and well-maintained appearance. * Manage stock levels of wood, varnishes, tools, and consumables; request replenishment when necessary. * Keep the workshop organized, clean, and safe, complying with occupational health and safety regulations. * Respond to urgent maintenance requests related to furniture or carpentry in guest rooms or common areas. * Coordinate with reception or housekeeping to carry out repairs without disrupting service.
