You will serve as the internal technical reference for BESS technology within the Generation Engineering team, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, performance guarantees, and proper system integration with the rest of the plant. **Key Responsibilities** * Technical review of BESS manufacturer offers. * Evaluation of storage technologies and architectures. * Review of BESS manufacturers’ technical documentation. * Review and validation of BESS electrical system designs. * Review of integration studies with PPC and SCADA. * Participation in technical due diligence processes. * Development of technical specifications for procurement. * Technical follow-up during manufacturing. * Participation in FAT and SAT. * Technical support during commissioning. * Field issue analysis and resolution. * Review of performance guarantee compliance. * Monitoring of KPIs and battery degradation. * Analysis of operational data and detection of deviations. * Technical coordination with BESS manufacturers, clients, and EPC teams. * Development of lessons learned and standardization of solutions. **Requirements** -------------- * Education: Industrial Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or Electronics Engineering. A Master’s degree specialized in energy storage is desirable. * 5 years of experience in large-scale energy storage systems (Utility-Scale BESS). * Demonstrable experience with BESS system manufacturers, integrators, or EPC contractors. * Knowledge of the full BESS system architecture: * Battery cells, modules, and racks. * Battery Management System (BMS). * Power Conversion System (PCS). * Energy Management System (EMS). * Transformers and medium-voltage switchgear. * HVAC systems. * Fire detection and suppression systems. * Experience in technical review of BESS manufacturers’ documentation. * Experience in conducting and/or supervising FAT, SAT, and commissioning tests. * Ability to analyze BESS system performance using metrics such as: * State of Charge (SOC). * State of Health (SOH). * Round Trip Efficiency (RTE). * Availability. * Capacity Tests. * Storage system Performance Ratio. * Knowledge of battery degradation mechanisms and performance guarantee analysis. * Experience in technical issue analysis and resolution (troubleshooting) during manufacturing, commissioning, and operation. * Knowledge of BESS system integration with: * SCADA. * PPC (Power Plant Controller). * Utility-scale photovoltaic plants. * Interpretation of electrical schematics, communication architectures, and control systems. * Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards for BESS systems. * Experience in issue resolution and troubleshooting. * English: C1 **Seize the challenge.
