**Job Description**
**Your Mission**
In this role, you will be responsible for continuously developing, implementing, and improving the Health & Safety strategy and policies at the Distribution Centre. You will ensure that safety is fully integrated into daily operations and that all applicable legal regulations and internal company standards are rigorously complied with.
Working closely with managers and employees, you will play a key role in building and reinforcing a strong, proactive prevention culture across the entire centre.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Health & Safety performance, ensuring legal compliance within the Distribution Centre.
Translate the corporate Occupational Health & Safety strategy into effective local action plans and initiatives.
Implement, monitor, and continuously improve safety procedures, policies, and guidelines.
Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and promote preventive and corrective measures.
* ️ Investigate, manage, and follow up on incidents, accidents, near-misses, and improvement actions.
Define and drive Health & Safety objectives, indicators (KPIs), and action plans.
Foster a strong safety culture by promoting active employee participation in preventive initiatives.
Coordinate Occupational Health & Safety training programs, ensuring high awareness levels across the organization.
Collaborate closely with managers, teams, and other key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
✅ Ensure full compliance with all applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation, as well as JYSK’s internal policies and requirements.
**Requirements**
**What You Bring**
Relevant academic qualifications and/or demonstrable experience in Occupational Health & Safety.
Several years of professional experience in a similar role.
Experience working with Occupational Health & Safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001\) and solid knowledge of applicable Occupational Risk Prevention legislation.
️ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, advise, and engage diverse stakeholders and organizational levels.
✈️ Willingness to travel to other international Distribution Centres when required. Of course, JYSK will cover all travel and accommodation expenses.
Good level of English, both spoken and written.
Ability to build relationships of trust and contribute to developing a strong, proactive prevention culture.
Analytical mindset to identify risks, drive improvements, and achieve sustainable results.
Practical, action-oriented attitude, with confidence to lead change and drive continuous workplace safety improvement.
