Description
We are a medium-sized German family-owned transportation and logistics company with offices in Cologne, Dortmund, Hof, and Thörey (Erfurter Kreuz). Our core focus is organizing partial and full loads across Europe. We offer our customers comprehensive transport solutions from a single provider. In 2025, 80 employees organized 60\.000 direct transports and achieved revenue of €44 million.
We distinguish ourselves from competitors through our unique philosophy, which enables our employees to develop freely within flat hierarchical structures—thus becoming the optimal partner for our customers.
This year, Focus has once again recognized us as a TOP Employer and, for the fifth consecutive time, as Growth Champion. We belong to the fastest-growing companies in Germany.
We are now founding FME Logística Internacional S.L. in Valencia, starting from scratch. We seek the person who will build this new unit with their own hands. Important: This is an operational and startup role—not a desk-based managerial function. In the initial phase, you do not manage an existing structure—you create it yourself. The clear and top priority focus lies on daily operations: traffic (dispo) and commercial activities.
**Responsibilities**
----------
In the initial phase, you personally assume daily operations and build the business from scratch. These are your responsibilities, in order of priority:
* Daily operations (traffic/dispo): organization and management of partial and full loads; planning and monitoring of transports.
* Commercial/sales: proactive acquisition of customers; building your own client portfolio; developing the local market, leveraging an already established Germany–Spain corridor.
* Carrier network: selection and development of a reliable network of freight service providers.
* Fulfillment of the company’s transport manager function (effective and permanent management of transport activities).
* Development and expansion of the office: once operations are stabilized, hiring and leading the team (sales staff and traffic managers) and expanding the office.
Objectives within the first 12 months:
* Personally contribute to achieving a monthly volume of 120–200 transports
* Scale the office progressively to reach 150–250 transports per month
* Select, develop, and lead a team of 2 sales staff and 1–2 traffic managers
This role is not only about leadership—it requires direct, hands-on operational involvement in the business.
**Requirements**
--------------
Mandatory/exclusive requirement: Valid Professional Competence Certificate for Road Freight Transport (transport manager under Regulation (EC) No. 1071/2009\). Without this certificate, we cannot consider your application, as the candidate will serve as the company’s transport manager and effectively and permanently manage transport activities in Spain.
* 3–8 years of experience in road freight transport (partial and full loads). Experience exclusively in maritime or air freight is insufficient for this position.
* Ideally gained at a freight forwarder/road transport agency (without owned fleet)
* Solid knowledge of the Spanish market
* Clearly commercial profile with a "hunter" mindset and hands-on work style: you want to operate and build yourself
* Confidence in negotiation and decision-making
* Structured and autonomous working style
* Native Spanish or C-level proficiency; German highly valued (direct contact with headquarters in Germany); English also advantageous
* Residence in Valencia or willingness to relocate permanently
**Benefits**
--------------
* Indefinite contract from day one
* Remuneration above market average
* Salary range: approx. €40\.000 – €55\.000 fixed
* Performance-based variable bonus (DB1\)30 days of vacation (increasing with seniority)
* No weekend work or shift duties
* Initial training of approx. 4 weeks in Germany (Dortmund, Erfurt, or Hof)
* Clear growth path toward managing the company as the unit consolidates
Onboarding includes intensive training of approx. 4 weeks in Germany (Dortmund, Erfurt, or Hof), where you will learn our processes, quality standards, and working methods in detail.
